There was some people who were having question on how to handle and keep your books so here's some tips for everyone who is interested
A cool, dry and stable environment is ideal. Temperatures of 16-19˚C and a relative humidity of 45-60% are recommended. If it is difficult to achieve this within the home, try to achieve a stable environment with a relative humidity of less than 60%; above this, mould and insects can flourish. This normally means keeping books away from direct heat sources such as radiators, sources of moisture such as damp external walls, and avoiding storage in attics, garages or basements where temperature and humidity fluctuate, where pests may be a problem and where leaks and floods are relatively common.
Try to protect books from direct light, especially daylight which can be particularly damaging. Light damage is irreversible.
Store books neatly, upright on bookshelves and do not allow them to lean sideways and become distorted. If possible, books should not come into contact with unsealed wood which can release organic acid vapours. Line shelves with conservation board (acid-free) to avoid this problem.
Make sure that there is good air circulation, for example avoid pushing books to the back of a shelf. This will reduce the risk of condensation and mould developing.
Try to store books of a similar size next to each other so that the volumes are properly supported. Use book ends for support if necessary. Large books are best stored horizontally.
Avoid the temptation to pack the shelves tightly as this will make the books vulnerable to damage when you are removing and replacing them from the shelves.

Nothing to write home about, but here we are.

I've never really bought TPB's before, so I figured I'd start with these. I have the last 10-15 issues of Nightwing, so there are mainly to have the hole story.

Anyone have any recommendations? I was thinking of grabbing some Flash next week.
>>
>>81169190
Geoff Johns run on Flash is good, both the original run with Wally and later when he brought Barry back. You can get the Barry stuff easy enough since it's only a few trades worth(Flash: Rebirth, Dastardly Death of the Rougues, Road to Flashpoint, and Flashpoint) . The Wally stuff is way longer and as the 3 omnibuses are out of print and super expensive secondhand, it might be better to pick up the trades they just started releasing as they come out (Only The Flash by Geoff Johns Book 1 so far)

that cover kicks ass btw.

>>81166178
I'm not the best judge of paper quality, it's not really something I care about, so you may want a second opinion on that. As for the story, it's pretty cool; Brubaker, Fraction, and Aja are great visual storytellers and that's apparent within the first couple pages. While it's a little confusing if you're jumping into Iron Fist for the first time like I was, it's a nice combination of mythos, kung fu tropes (in the form of a tournament) and superhero junk. Plus the last two issues of Brubaker and Fraction's run are just fantastic. For the Swierczynski half, I recommend you don't blind buy if possible. I enjoyed it myself but ymmv plus the art is janky as hell in some points.
>>
>>81179935
>I'd like them to reprint Den.
Yeah especially the Heavy Metal stuff. I found the 10 issue series of Den form the 90's that's pretty good. One of the back ups is Corben doing his best Vaughn Bode impression

It's not signed, and it's quarter bin material regardless. Why on earth would you get it graded?

Anyways, on eBay someone won X-men 1-26, 47-66, and Giant Size + 84-108, custom bound. Several books were mostly reprints (1, and 14-26 mainly), but the rest were original. The books themselves were in bad condition, but they could easily be restored and the gutter loss wouldn't be too terrible since silver age titles had gutter to spare. For only $665 it was a steal - I was increasing the bidding in the last minute around $400, but it jumped in the last five seconds. I think it easily would have been worth it though.

I haven't read it but if you're interested in reading the scripts and looking at early sketches then go for it.
There was a sale in 2013 where it was for $3 only http://comicsalliance.com/top-shelf-3-dollar-sale-2/. There might have been other sales after that one and maybe there will be one this year too even though they fused with IDW.
>>
>>81186959

Which should I get first though. Cerebus or Hellboy? I only have enough money left for one of either after buying From Hell. And thanks.

Are you going to get the companion? You could also get the slipcase edition that has both both of them, though there's also going to be a hardcover edition coming out in September.

Probably Hellboy since Cerebus is harder to get unless you want to buy from resellers.

>>
>>81187350
Great comic. The story really picks up with Chuck Dixon and Larry Stroman on the book (starting from v2).
The Dark Horse collections are cheap but also tiny. 6.1 x 0.7 x 9 inches (smaller than a regular-sized floppy). Although the art is untouched and the text is still readable at the smaller size.

Omnibus 1 collects v1 issues 1-11
Omnibus 2 collects v1 issues 12-20

Alien Legion: Dead and Buried (Titan) collects v2 issues 1-12 (of 18)
