The show is better than the movie in a lot of ways, but I still liked Jon Favreau's Foggy a bit more than Elden Henson's. Henson's Foggy comes off hyper-competent in a way that makes you question why he ever needed Matt in the first place. Like, I guess that's fine, it certainly makes him an interesting character, but it doesn't really fit with my image of who Foggy's supposed to be.
It's like he said in the show, "There are some things I'm better at, and there are some things Matt's better at." That's the way it's supposed to be with them, and that comes through a lot with Favreau. It's pretty clearly not true at all with Henson's Foggy (which is a big part of his arc, I guess, so make of that what you will).
You would be whiny too if every night your best friend might die but not only that, you need your best friend alive to participate in cases with you as a law partner.

Honestly I despised the good guys in season two. Foggy has been a whining piece of shit since he found out Matt was DD, Matt and Elektra make me want to claw my eyes out, and Karen is only decent as an outlet for Frank to get the last of his human juices.
Meanwhile Frank is the best Frank to ever Frank on screen, Stick is a loveable asshole, and Kingpin is somehow even better than the last season. If it wasn't for those three the season would have been total trash.

I really didn't get that feeling. The show didn't dwell on such things, and Foggy just seemed really focused on his career. Plus, he got on with his ex last season. Even though you have the mystery of the shit going on with the Hand, season 2 feels a lot less exciting than 1 because it doesn't have the big game that went on between the protagonists and Fisk, where there was constant danger and focus on the two sides of the conflict attempting to outsmart one another. Season 1 was a crime drama/conspiracy thriller with a superhero added in to make things interesting. Season 2 is a superhero show with elements of a crime drama/conspiracy thriller used on occasion. It gets better in the latter half but it's just not as interesting. I'll take a Punisher spinoff, though,
