Am I the only one who thinks that superhero costumes are almost never improved by using two tones of the same hue? Like, that light blue/dark blue on Superman, or the light grey/dark grey on Batman, or the reds on The Flash.

Even classic two-tone costumes would use color highlights to make them pop more.
With redeisgns there's always an awkward tension between golden age/silverage designs and modern pseudo-tactical aesthetics.
Artist says that this one is more like the original Superman with super strength and jumps, but he's also super smart. Turns his old rocket into power armor for flight

The Flash looks OK in a full body suit, with Superman I've always thought that a full body suit looked weird. The red undies helped create the appearance that he was wearing separate pants.

I think Superman being an adult is pretty important to the story, he'd be better as a Ultraman thing rather than Giganto. Hals whole thing is "I was forced into this because I am the best so I'm gonna be the best" so I think Kamen Rider would be better for him.

Diaz's innovation is to make him the second-most unoriginal, a HR Giger ripoff.
