I saw the movie last night, and when it was finished I sat in the theater for 10 minutes crying my eyes out. Not because I didn't like the movir, I fucking loved it. Every single minute of this movie was pure bliss to me. No, I was crying because I knew once I left the theater I would have to deal with years of negative backlash from "furfags" and shitposters. This movie was never given a fair shake, I cannot comprehend how something like How to Train your Dragon 2 and Monster's University can get positive threads yet shitposters are falling over themselves to give Zootopia all this shit. I hate to get all conspiratorial, but man it really does make you think. Forget about the shitposters, we know for certain that the fans are rabid furfags. Millions of Dreamworks fans WHO HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE are already starting to crap on the movie and meme this and that. It is fucking ridiculous and the people like me who enjoyed this movie are going to have to suffer through this fur-fag name calling for years.

So just fuck you to the people who never even intend to give this movie a fair shake. Fuck you to the shitposters who will make my life hell for the forseeable future. Fuck you.

This is me. Literally me. No other character can come close to relating to me like this. There is no way you can convince me this is not me. This character could not possibly be anymore me. It’s me, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me on the topic of this not possibly being me, then I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that this character is me. This character is me, it is indisputable. Why anyone would try to argue that this character is not me is beyond me. If you held two pictures of me and this character side by side, you’d see no difference. I can safely look at this character every day and say “Yup, that’s me”. I can practically see this character every time I look at myself in the mirror. I go outside and people stop me to comment how similar I look and act to this character. I chuckle softly as I’m assured everyday this character is me in every way. I can smile each time I get out of bed every morning knowing that I’ve found my identity with this character and I know my place in this world. It’s really quite funny how similar this character is to me, it’s almost like we’re identical twins. When I first saw this character, I had an existential crisis. What if this character was the real me and I was the fictional being. What if this character actual became aware of my existence? Did this character have the ability to become self aware itself?

there is only one issue with this manner and that is that windows will name different filenames as well so like .png can also be (1) while the other .jpg can be (1) too, but it makes the folder look nicer and takes no effort. i remember the numbers easier and while labelling is a better idea, that takes effort and time.

Nope. They both have traits seen in both races. The president are a minority (black), but are over represented in the media (white?), and, are generally more racially charged in their thoughts and actions. (white)
Prey are a majority(white), but are seen as inferior by racially aware preds. (black) They also are also pandered to through identity politics; "Getting the sheep vote." (black, but could be applied to other minority groups.)
Nothing in the movie was meant to depict modern day events. Even Byron said this. The movie's message was simply "Don't stereotype, regardless of group."

It does look bad. The words on it don't make sense; it's not like "here comes the fox" is a reference, a pun, or anything meaningful.

most merchandise is made without any knowledge of the movie, or for toys like legos, only seeing certain screens or scenes.

those shirt companies graphics departments are literally just taking alpha mapped shots, pasting them together with a design and words, and selling it.
>>
>>81120515
It's been killing it at the box office so far, we'll have to see how Spring Break influences it along with the UK premier.

Japan gets it next month, there's speculation that it could out-do Frozen's numbers (250 million) there.

when referring to institutions in movie industry, it's common practice to put the prefix "ol'." For example, your question would be better phrased "how's it doing right now at the ol' box office?" Please note this doesn't apply to in-universe institutions. So you could say "Judy was animated by some people at the ol' Disney Animation Studios," but it's not necessary to say "Judy works for the ol' ZPD."

It's pretty good but to me at least the first time I watched it I got the impression I was watching something strangely unfinished, or the result of excessive meddling.

Obviously zootopia had a bit of that going on behind the scenes too but there were some jarring cuts that just don't happen in animated movies anymore that started happening in the 2nd half of frozen that weirded me out.

That + the strange low resolution textures and such that appear every now and then just makes you wonder what the deal was when they were making it.

well it's been 2 years so I can't remember many exact ones, one I can remember is suddenly at some point it cuts back to the snowman dude sliding down the mountain toward the village and it feels like some scenes were missing, it was just a hard cut which basically doesn't happen in 3d animated movies since everything can flow neatly thanks to the power of technology.

Keep in mind, I'm not trying to shit on frozen.

I bet they cut some scenes to keep the runtime short.

That's also one good thing about Zootopia - it's significantly longer than most animated movies "for kids". I hope that trend continues so we can have two-hour animated movies that don't have to budget time for character development.

God I hope this becomes the norm. I feel like part of it is hampered by Disney's appealing to kids and their attention spans but another part is surely just the cost associated with animating and rendering longer movies. If the technological costs go down and Disney sees that longer movies don't hurt sales then we could get movies that didn't feel so breathlessly quick.

I'd agree if frozen had a unique art direction, it really didn't though, I think the art direction was as bland as it's execution.

What it proves is that a decent story, great dialogue and good songs overcomes most other things in terms of audience response to an animated feature and that's always going to be true.

You know the lion king is beautiful, but when memers are talking about how the 90s was the best time ever because of the lion king they're singing "hakuna matata", not going on about it's beautiful animation.

He could mention something about being inspired by Judy's optimism and energy to try changing himself for the better at the beginning of the movie and looking noticeably slimmer by the end. Send a good message to the kids about healthier eating and outlooks on life.

Aside from rapid transformations or growing up, have we ever seen a character changing size or shape within the span of a Disney movie? I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

That's your opinion.

I somewhat agree but I'm talking from a more general position than what I think according to my own personal subjective tastes as a jaded dickhead.

To me, let it go was boring but to most it won't be.

Also "can we build a snowman" sounded a lot like michael jackson's "childhood" from free willy 2 to me, but I don't think most people would get annoyed at it for that either.

I want to see Clawhauser being bullied to tears by Gideon then trying to hang himself but failing because his weight caused the rope to break

I don't think it should be so fast as that. Hercules gets a bit of a pass since he's a demi-god who's already ludicrously strong as a teenager.

But something like where Judy gives Clawhauser a thing of carrots as a gift, he mentions he really likes them and replaces his donuts with carrots, talks about taking up dance classes, maybe there's a gag halfway through the movie where Nick and Clawhauser are getting dressed in the locker rooms and Clawhauser's pants keep dropping, and at the end of the movie he's smaller and there's a scene where he runs down a criminal and realizes that he's more than a desk cop because he can still run as well as he did in high school/
