I didn't know either who Louie Anderson was at the time so i thought it was about just some fat kid and an asshole of a father.

Do you think Louie Anderson will ever come out of the closet? He had that gay blackmail scandal, he's done a bunch of work for the gay community, and now he's playing a woman. Or maybe he'll just Tim Curry forever.

Same here. I watched this all the time but didn't really 'get it' at the time.

Now I look back at Fox cartoons (Life with Louie, Bobby's World, etc) and realize that they were pretty decent/well written for their time. basically 90s comedian sitcoms in animated (and clean) form.

The dad was too unlikable. Couldn't ever watch it. Wouldn't mind seeing Bobby or Eek again though.
