Remember when The Mask was Gory
Fuck me, them teefs is huge.

best mask was that little girl mask.

I don't. And based on your one picture, I'm not sure if I do...
Unless you want to dump a folder of images to convince me.

I'm also requesting a dump

How about this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1-GPyK3iEZ4
There should be a The Mask Netflix series.
"Gory" is a very big word
Bloody? yes. creepy? sometimes.
But gory is a little too far, it ain't Crossed.

I am deeply disgusted by Doug Walker and his merry men
Even worst when i think about how i used to follow his almost religiously 8 years ago.
Jesus Christ...8 years.
>>80960858
The Mask editorial isn't too bad. But yea, his reviews just haven't been the same for years. Fuck contracts, he shouldn't be jamming 10 minute sketches into the review for a shitty moral
>>80960683
Well I'm watching it, but a 13 min video doesn't do my violence boner justice as a nice quality dump of gore.
I need to masturbate man com on now.
>>80960683
Jeez, what a pussy. Doug makes it seem like it's the goriest, most disturbing thing you'll ever read, when it's not even that bloody. Even that example he showed isn't that unsettling, I've seen more shocking visuals in Green Lantern comics, and that shit isn't even supposed to be for adults only. Nigga needs to read some Crossed if he wants truly disturbing gore.

Do you, perchance, own a mile long katana?
>>80962004
No. Do you, perchance, wear a diaper?
>>80962027
No. Do you, perchance, want to make out?
Remember when we got this sexy lady?

I don't know. I don't think the sketches are that great but it at least breaks up the fucking review. Before Demo Reel happened his reviews lost any sense of pacing or timing. Could the sketches be better? Yeah, but I think their a better tool for him to make his points than just him talking about it, since he's not actually good at writing critiques or his own dialogue.
>>80961223
You have to remember Doug's core audience is like 12.

I like where this is going.
>>80961223
Not defending him but Crossed was written decades after Mask, wasn't it?
>>80962553
Yeah, Mask was like late 80s while Crossed was only made in this decade.

Y'all gonna thank me later
>>80962553
spawn was written in the 90es and it was still gorier and more gritty
>>80963053
I guess my only question now is who was the original dark/gritty/gore?
From what I've started to read >>80962897
Mask is very comical gore and I wouldn't call it gritty at all. Sadistic maybe, but not Grimdark.
>>80963053
>and it was still gorier and more gritty
Not at first, Early Spawn (which would be around the time during or after Mask Returns) was about as gory as Mask.
>>80962171
I think the pacing was ok before the brief cancelation. At the very least, they rarely had much to do with the review or his feeling beyond being a joke about the reaction of the film. Now, it's just "this movie is so bad, satan probably made it" or whatever.

The only main series comic I haven't read is The Hunt for Green October. Does anyone here happen to have it?

You must be confusing him with the One-armed Man.

When I play the maracas I go chick-chicky-boom, chick-chicky boom
Yes sir, I'm Cuban Pete. I'm the craze ofmy native street.
When I start to dance, everything goes chick-chicky-boom, chick-chicky boom

PUT YOUR HANDS UP!
In all honesty I prefer the movie to the comic. The movie was basically a sendup to Noir Detective works and Tex Avery cartoons. The comics were basically if the Joker was a Looney Toon and the protagonist.
