It's easily possible. But it's not going to happen. The most recent (but still very old) set of updates revolving around the post-retcon meetup showed that. Hussie set a field and dramatic plot convolution to try and ground the story, lay out the remaining characters and their emotional and developmental stakes going into the final confrontation, setting up a coherent narrative that ties all that has yet happened (albeit extremely awkwardly what with the retcon) to what was about to happen. And then what does he do? He doubles down on the irrelevant bullshit that has nothing to do with anything with this Sprite squared bullshit, continued ballooning the number of characters and character interactions until they become meaningless.
Hussie gonna Huss. He can't stop this train, it's not in his nature, he can only control what it crashes into.

The Alpha session could have genuinely turned out to be a good story if it wasn't stapled onto Homestuck proper

The reason the trolls were fine in acts 4 was that the non-linear conversations were clever. Karkat talking in reverse to John produced some of the best delivered jokes in the comic.
It all went to shit when they started talking to eachother linearly.
