Simultaneously created and destroyed animation. Snow White was the beginning of the end by trying to push realism into a medium whose only strong point is to do things that can't be done in live-action. Also forced other creative studios to their knees, like Ted Eshbaugh, Fleischer Studio, TerryToons, and Warner Bros to copy their style. Luckily Tex Avery saved us from this nonsense, at least for a little while. But now things are just back to the way they were.
