I think it's more likely that she's just paralyzed with fear.
But I'm half-hoping that there's some anger mixed in with that fear, because Allison's default state since the comic started is to be hysterical and run away from her problems. She really needs to change - and she has been, considering that now lately she's been running /towards/ her problems.
