I mean sure, people like the characters from one or another but proudly siding with one company doesn't make a difference.

Are these predictions ever accurate? You literally can't predict what movie is going to blow up or not, all you can say is "this heavily marketed highly-anticipated movie will do well while the smaller films will make less" which is a no-brainer.

Those numbers would actually be really good considering this is DC's second movie and they're using it to lauch their franchise. We always knew CW would do more than BvS because it has an established fanbase. If it lands just under CW, which is their... what... 13th film? With an Avengers cast and Spider-Man thrown in? That'd be amazing. DC's first movie made more than every Phase 1 movie except for Avengers. DC's second movie would get close to Avengers ensembles and Iron Man 3. Then Suicide Squad, which is already creating crazy buzz, hits. that's a HUGE fucking start.

You do realize this is BATMAN and SUPERMAN two of their most highly popular and prolific franchises going up against Captain America which just recently became a pop icon and he's still less popular than Iron Man who are both less popular than X-Men right?
