Okay, it's like you know that one guy who was big on the football team back in high school, but he's really been a bum and hasn't done anything sense, and keeps going on about 'that one homecoming game' even though that happened in 1992, and no one else really cares or even remembers? Bing Bong is that guy, and then he comes back into the story and ends up dying in some vaguely selfless and heroic way, and then right before he dies he's all "take the team to state for me, bro," and then he gets fucked to death by a serial killer dinosaur. That's pretty much what's going on here.
