Yep. Every iteration of her is completely different as a person, because the initial Jean was a non-entity, so what else are you to do? The only consistency between any version of Jean is that she's the worst part of the comic, cartoon, film, etc. that she's in. She serves only as a plot device, be it a love triangle centerpiece, an equally personality-devoid alter ego, or as self-insert wanking. So she's boring, but the worst part of her character is that she's destined, no matter what, to be used in a cheap attempt at tragedy - we're always, always forced to feel sorry that Jean disappears - but the fact that Jean is mostly absent makes it clear that the writer's real motivations were to get rid of her, because they realize, after a certain point, that she's completely useless. Anything she can do either Charles or Magneto can do, and as a team member she serves only as a mix between Cyclops and Professor X. She is literally thin air.

Someone start backing these gripes up with at least some sort of argument.
i.e: The Scarlett Witch has always been inconsistantly powerful, crazy, or reliable. Writers use her as a sweeping god-level solution to any problem or as a problem of variable threat level, a threat always forgotten whenever she can wrap up a story conveniently. All depending upon the writer's mood.

Sometimes I wonder if someone should make a truly relatable superhero. I know Marvel in particular tried with Spider-Man, Ben Grimm, the Hulk, etc. but they're a bit too extraordinary to be truly relatable.
What if someone made a hero who was *actually* a loser? Had no friends well into adulthood, was still a virgin or at least had only had sex once or twice into their mid-20s at least, still lived at home and was either a NEET or working a shitty fast food job they didn't get any hours for, was super unpopular with people, had a ton of mental problems, etc. Basically the complete opposite of the sort that people think of when they think of a superhero. And not this halfway shit with characters like Spider-Man, where he basically stops being relatable after high school, but someone you really wouldn't want to be. Maybe they even loser a majority of their fights against supervillains and other heroes have to save the day or something.
