And decide to waste him until then with relationshit stuff with Caitlin because apparently she can't be interesting on her own. Because then he'd be overpowered. Think about it, the only ones that come close to Firestorm right now in terms of power are Hawkgirl and the Rogue's guns. If he started being able to do shit like he could in the comics then he'd be unstoppable(In the CWverse at least).
It's the same excuse as to why they never let Cold or Rory just shoot Savage with their gun continuously. Sure the fucker's immortal, but I bet having all the heat taken from you would still be a bitch to handle. They need to do something with him and fast. Same with Wally, they've introduced him and fleshed him out a bit but he's been sidelined with earth 2 and all the impending threats of Zoom, Trajectory and King Shark coming up.
I'm hoping they rework nu52 future flash arc and make Zoom to be Wally; an older version from the future who took the mantle of the flash and was corrupted for whatever tragic reason, hence the near identical suit to barrys aside from the black and claws. Leading younger Wally to confront his older self in the finale, reject his dark future and become kid flash maybe?
And give Jay something to do as well. Didn't he have a wife in the comics? Maybe Zoom kidnapped Joan and he wants to her back but he's kept it a secret. Give him a vendetta or something other than muh caitlin and muh speed cancer.
