And I know that Rick and Morty is a wacky sci-fi comedy cartoon way, WAY before it's something that needs to worry about consistent characterization. However, desensitizing Morty robs the show of its straight-man. We're rapidly losing characters to identify with in any way, which ultimately hurts the comedy. Part of the fun of the first season was watching all the ways everyone lost their shit over Rick's crazy junk.

Why is the 2nd improv episode all of a sudden so considered the weakest episode? The stuff with Jerry was surprisingly good, the improve was just not as good or memorable as the first one.
Get Schwifty was the weakest. I don't remember laughing/smiling during it at all.

The character designs were alright if they had something interesting to go along with it, which they didn't. The episode was incredibly straight forward with its plot, no twists or surprises.
