Anyone else here on /co/ read Footrot Flats before?
I'd only just discovered it on my vacation to New Zealand. From what I've learned and read so far, it's a pretty solid paper comic with very New Zealand jokes and humour. Just wondering if anyone else has read or heard of it.
I've never read it but I've seen the animated movie
Cousin Kathy a best
I have (But lots of my fellow countrymen have)

pls more of these, i love foreign newspaper strips
It's a pity, because I've come to quite like it. Certainly more so than a lot of current ongoing newspaper format comics. Or the giants who refuse to die like Garfield
Most Australians of a certain age would have grown up with Footrot Flats as well.

good stuff, mate
i'd heard it mentioned online but this was the first time I've read any (american).
i'd read more. I like how the dog's expressions are drawn.
Hell yeah. Got some of the books when I went to England. Not going to be in American papers because of swearing and the general muckiness of farms.
Murrican here. I've only come to hear about this from this thread, but holy shit I love the artstyle. It's everything a print comic should look like.

Used to read them all the time as a kid. I'm Australian so and live on a farm so most of it's relateable.

I had a chance of buying a complete collection 5 years ago, for an affordable price. Now it's a thousand fucking dollars on Amazon.
All I know is that the creator was a good friend of Charles Shultz, and the comic is considered really good.
