Why arguing and critisizing cape comics is considered a taboo in /co/?
Is it? I thought it was just retarded.
>>78553880
Because no one on /co/ reads comics. Criticizing what you don't read is stupid.
>>78553889
I thought it was Wednesday
>>78553889
Well, people immediately mark it as "shitposting" even if it's not.
>>78553880
Criticising comics is 50% of what /co/ does. The other 50% is cartoon generals and /tv/ threads.
Criticising "cape comics" in general is just pointless trolling, because there are many different kinds of cape comics and some of them are actually good.

we're at least 45 percent pron and requests for porn
>>78553880
Autists don't know how generalisation works since they always make the same excuse (something like this >>78553920) when it comes to discussing things.
>>78553943
Generalisation is a horrible way of "arguing and critisizing" though. If you have some criticism but can't make it specific, your criticism is completely meaningless at best and blatant trolling at worst.
>>78553985
Let me give you a solid example:
When i want to argue about for example how bad Captain America actually is, you can't defend your counter-argument with something like "but JLA Captain America in #538 was actually good". This is what mostly cape fans do. Having a few gems around your trash pile doesn't change the fact that it's generally bad, not especially when you could generalise the whole genre.
>>78554036
Well here's where you're wrong. There is no such thing as a bad comic book character. Just bad writing.
>>78554036
Wew lad.
>>78554036
There are plenty of awful comics, but using that as an argument that comics in general are awful is retarded.
If you have a problem, make it specific, or nobody will take you seriously unless it's echo-chamber stuff like "hurr tumblr sucks".

>If you have a problem, make it specific, or nobody will take you seriously
Not him but you guys don't deem anything specific unless it the exact comic book page.
>>78554114
That's bullshit and you know it. Unless discussing individual issues, people usually refer to comics by writer, run, or story arc.
"Captain America is shit" is trolling. "The Captain America run by [writer X] is shit because [...]" is criticism.
