Help me out /co/.

I remember a cartoon about whales. Their mother, or parents, tell them a legendary story of a mighty white whale( who I assume to be Moby Dick) and how he defeated what they called "The Iron Fist"(a vicious looking whaler, presumably Captain Ahab).

The young whales idolize Moby Dick and want to be like him.

The rest is a blur, the only other part I remember is one of the young whale being chased by either an orca or a shark.

Does anyone remember anything like this?

The first cartoon I can remember watching was Rob Renzetti's Mina and the Count. The episode was something about a trial because the monsters thought that the relationship they shared was unnatural. The whole show reminds me a lot of Billy and Mandy, if the two weren't little shits to Grim all the time. I really liked their almost father/daughter dynamic. It's a real shame it never got beyond it's few Oh Yeah! run.

I remember Rubik, The Get-A-Long Gang, and Turbo Teen from my early childhood; all those intervening decades and they haunt me still.

The earliest show I remember enjoying that still holds up today is The Real Ghostbusters.

I came on here to see what others would say. I don't have any strong affection or connection to any cartoons from my childhood although I've seen most of the ones people mention here.
Thanks for a stroll down memory lane, though.

Well since we're on this kind of thread, i need help identifying a cartoon from the 80's or 90's. All i remember is that it was about some king robot themed cartoon and i specifically remember this one shaped like a lion, and every time it was time to fight, it would turn into this missile shaped train complete with it's tracks. And i believe it could shoot missiles or something. Pic related, it's what i remember.

I was a little kid in the early 1970s so these are all from that era:

-The Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Hour (the rare intro with Bugs driving a small car honking a handhorn that sounded like RR)
-School House Rock (Conjunction junction, what's your function..)
-Secret Squirrel & Agent Mole
-Fat Albert & the Cosby Kids
-Capt Caveman
-The Pink Panther (the Ant & the Aardvark segments always had me lol'ing)
-Josie & The Pussycats
-Sabrina the Teenaged Witch
-The Globetrotters
-Hong Kong Phooey
-Amazing Chan & the Chan Clan
-Speed Buggy
-Wheelie & the Chopper Bunch
-Superfriends

I also recall watching the Star Trek cartoon, Speed Racer, & Planet of the Apes.

Yes, saturday mornings were awesome. A big bowl of Froot Loops and cartoons to start the day off right. :-)

Loony Tunes musical stuff always stuck with me more than the normal cartoons. I actually enjoyed the music and the animation with it. Was the perfect stuff to go to sleep to.

I need help remembering something. Late at night Cartoon Network had a period where they shown weird shorts but being a kid at the time I often fall asleep before I could watch most of them. I would love to go back and watch them now. The shorts were stuff like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bETCusT5kNM So I assumed it was some kind of Canadian cartoon block session. I was hoping it had an official name though that would be easier to Google.
