But then there was that glorious run early-late 80s where every strip was a classic where even if a run finished another equally as good would take its place the following week: Dredd, Anderson, Robo-Hunter, Strontium Dog, Nemesis, Ace Trucking, Slaine, Halo Jones, Bad Company, The VC's, Zenith, Bad City Blue, Mean Arena, Alan Moore's Future Shocks, Death Planet. It just seemed never-ending at one point. Then the 90s hit...

2000ad has had it's ups and downs over the years, there was a particular slump in the 90's, but I've always found something to keep me coming back each week. I don't think there are any other comics that can make the same claim over such a long run.

Love it or hate it Preacher was pretty consistent through it's run.
