Hey /co/, I'm relatively new to comics and was wondering what trades to pick up. Mainly looking at Marvel. Like Wolverine, Magneto, Captain America, Spider-Man (Peter, Ben, Miles), Iron Fist, Iron Man, Red Hulk, Venom (Eddie and Flash), Doctor Doom, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Dr. Strange.
Own Old Man Logan and BPRD and loved both. Also thinking about Doom War.

If you're like COMPLETELY new to comics and want to read Marvel, I'd suggest starting with Ultimate Spider-Man #1 and just keep reading until you hit Secret Wars.
Beyond that you could try Annihilation or Morrison's New X-Men. Hickman's Fantastic Four is a pretty wild ride I think. The Vision book that just started right now is also most excellent.
Also check to see if the comraderecs tumblr is still up. Last I checked that was the best place to get rec lists.

Ben Riley hasn't had a series since the clone saga, although he appeared in one of the Spider-Verse miniserieses, "Scarlet Spiders". If you want to read Miles, just pick up Ultimate Comics Spider-Man or wait a few months for the Spider-Man series to come out (Peter is Amazing Spider-Man, Miles is just Spider-Man)

Magneto had a solo series before Secret Wars, where he was basically Mutant Punisher. Try that.
>Captain America
The current series isn't about Steve Rogers, so if you want to read about him, go for either Brubaker's or Reminder's Captain America. The two writers have completely different tones though, between pulp and spy fiction.
>Iron Fist
He's had two solos recently. Immortal Iron Fist and Iron Fist: The Living Weapon. They're pretty different in tone from each other, but try giving them both a shot.

Hickman's New Avengers, and his own solo. I can't go into specifics, since I don't know much about him, in comparison.
>Venom
Flash Thompson Venom has a solo series coming out called " Venom: Space Knight", but if you'd prefer a more grounded series, try the Reminder series.

Hickman's Fantastic Four and FF, as well as the current Secret Wars event. Dude's a massive Doom fanboy.
>Guardians of the Galaxy
Since the movie their popularity has exploded, giving them a team-up series, as well as their own team book. Most of the members also have their own solos of varying quality, although Gamora's has been stuck in development hell. Most of the site will tell you to stick with the DnA run and avoid Bendis's run, but if you don't know anything about the characters, you won't notice Bendis's more glaring flaws.
