Can we have a Strangehaven discussion?
>Starts off fine, lots of neatly placed plot lines, good character introduction, solid panel time given to each without losing the protag
>Continues well enough, quirks are introduced, doesn't shy away from influences like Twin Peaks
>Art direction starts to change for the worse when the author starts to doodle shades everywhere
>Plot resolves intomagick potential because ley lines converge lol while sudden violent twists offer nothing worth noting
What a dissapointment. It's a long time to take to write such an underwhelming work.
I mean it's proof that you can't buy into the lore of your creation too much because no matter how you untangle it it will come off as a dangling banality. Once you lose the visuals in a visual medium it inevitably goes to shit.
Earlier issues had some outstanding uncanny valley moments due to Millidge being poor at drawing faces, everyone had wide fixed toothy grin and the women's faces came off frightfully distorted.

I haven't read it either way.
I read Strangehaven dilligently up to issue 14 or so, then I skimmed through the rest as soon as plot started 'resolving'. Honestly, the coven - stonecutters duel would have been great were it not for occultism 101 explanation and drop in the art style quality.
