This is really my only beef with the new designs. 2d and Murdock have always been strong characters, so there is no reason to change them at all. Russel has always seemed a bit weak and lacking as a character despite being the leader. So it's nice they did something to make him a bigger character, even if all they did was LITERALLY make him bigger. But I feel like Noodle's character has kinda been lost over all the age-ups. It seems like now her only reason to be around is as a physical embodiment of the band's age.

We're cool if you like at least one version. Sweepstakes grew on me. At first I couldn't understand what it was supposed to be at all, but I kind of get it now. It's like White Light, you're just supposed to ride the flow and enjoy the build-up and the interesting sounds.
I like the minimalist aesthetic. We've gotten wall of sound since forever; I like the demo that came out before PB, Electric Shock (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEamK18zGnE) precisely because it just sort of experiments with stripped down melodies, carefully considered sounds, etc. There aren't many songs that can bring up the emotions it does, this weird mix between melancholy and acceptance.

I like Welcome to the World of The Plastic Beach but only when paired up along with the intro.
But at the same time I hate the orchestral part of Electric Shock.
