Surprisingly, there are better animated movies made by a single guy in his basement. But this one is still pretty impressive just for being one of those.
Compared to an ordinary movie it's pretty bad, though. It really does suffer from shoving the guy's 5 year old daughter into the scenes at every opportunity. And it's disappointing he didn't decide to go with a better story that hasn't been done to death. There are some good Romeo and Juliet adaptations out there, but it didn't work out so well here.
