Solid Frank, Rucka.
>>78266862
Archie crossover, Ennis' run save for the middle, most of Dixon's run, the original mini, Return to Big Nothing, Armory, and some other odds and ends are my faves.
>>78266862
This retarded logic "if you don't shoot you've got a death on your conscience." let me think about that for second, no I think my conscience is perfectly fine.
I can physically not understand how this is supposed to be more traumatic than just failing to save a life.
>>78267161
Apparently not really since DD pulls the triggernot that it did much since it had no firing pin
>>78267161
By not killing that person, they go on to kill the person most dear to you. By killing them, you have prevented it.
How in the fuck is that difficult for you to process?
>>78267390
>dear to you
In that particular case it was a sleazy douchebag though
>>78267438
Sleazy dirtbags are most dear to Daredevil
This is why he beats them, he beats them because he loves them but cannot make love with them, if he truly didn't like them he'd kill them
>>78267473
So...like Batman?

In moral philosophy, there's an interesting thought experiment about moral intuitions.
Imagine a railroad. There's a fork in it, and you're standing at the switch. There's a train coming, and the railroad the switch is currently set on, has 5 people standing on it. They can't hear or see you, or the train. You can't warn the train, and even if you could, it wouldn't be able to stop in time. But, you can pull the switch, and make the train divert to the other railroad. That railroad is also occupied, but only by a single individual, who also can't hear or see you or the train. Do you pull the switch?
Now, keep that answer in mind, because there's a second part to the thought experiment.
Imagine a railroad. It's a single road this time, just with a bridge over (across?) it. Again, a train, again 5 people who can't hear or see anything. You're standing on top of the bridge, overlooking the situation, and next to you is standing another person. You realize that if you push them off the bridge, onto the railroad, it will stop the train in time to save the lives of the 5 people. (Maybe they're that fucking fat and massive, maybe it's his meat and bones clogging up the wheels or somthing that's enough to make it happen. How isn't the point, you just know that it will). Knowing this, will you push that person to his death, saving the lives of the 5 others?
There is no right answer, ofcourse. But this question has been asked to thousands of people, and eventhough objectively, the two acts seem identical (1 life against 5), it's interesting to note that most people pull the switch, killing that one person, but most people refuse to push that same person off the bridge. Apparently, we intuitively make a meaningful difference between the two acts.
I think this is an example of that. DD is in a similar choice. Either be responsible for a death, or actively kill a person. And eventhough they seem identical on paper, intuitively, most people see them as different.

Yep
Is anyone here able to help me get my hands on Rucka's Punisher, including the War Zone mini? I can't find it on a public tracker, and with the moe archive dead I can't easily find any direct links.
>>78266862
Larosa, parlov and fernandez.
Chuck, ennis and remender are quite good
I don't the way chechetto draws Frank, he looks to soft, like a rookie. The other artist in the same run did a better job
>>78268326
I don't like*
>>78268326
I don't think he looked soft under Chechetto but he definitely felt a bit clean, like a man who gives his appearance some attention beyond basic hygiene.
>>78268326
Was that also the guy who drew that ridiculously handsome Frank in Frankencastle?
>>78268536
There was a bunch of artist in that run. I would say Tony Moore is what it comes to my mind when i think about that
Stupid sexy wildman
Stupid sexy Frank.
What'd you guys think of that one Punisher movie? And weren't there talks about another one?
What are must read Frank stories of the secret wars?
Bump
>>78266862
REMIND THAT THIS WAS THE GREATEST PUNISHER COMIC AND THE GREATEST COMIC OF ALL TIME.
Marco Checchetto Now and Forever...
>>78271192
Same with Kraven the Hunter...
>>78267090
Face it, you only like Punished Frank because he's hot.Not that I blame you, though. Goddamn.
>>78271192
He is also doing a foreign comic called Life Zero which basically seems like the Punisher vs zombies.
>>78271239
No he looks fucking badass by Checchetto and Rucka's writing on that series was superb.
>>78271260
>>78266862
I don't know how you top Ennis.
>>78271401
>>78271192
Sexy as fuck
>>78271401
>That filename
Hah
>>78271192
>>78271239
Superior Rucka Frank.
Would you let Frank bind your nuts
>>78271401
ennis was fuckin brutal, man
I hope Frank is good in Daredevil session 2
>>78271239
Lady Frank was also great.
So what do we expect from the upcoming run?
>Things you hated/disliked?
That general attitude of "Everything before Ennis sucked" and the hatred for the white boots costume because "It's not practical," or "it's not realistic." I'm also not fond of the need to throw Frank into overt tactical gear, I get shit for it, but that's just me.
>Punisher as composed by Hans Zimmer
Mitch Gerads is a solid artist, but he has shit taste, that had to be one of the most self important things I've read relating to comics.
>>78266862
We need more FRANK.

>>78273169
Yeah there's plenty of great stuff pre Ennis
Even if Frank is wearing kevlar, DD could shoot him in the arm or shoulder to throw off his aim. Kevlar doesn't just magically delete kinetic energy.
The 2004 movie had a pretty good ost. My favorite track:

>>78266862
So if "throwing the gun" would possibly enough to throw off his aim, how the fuck are we supposed to accept that kneecapping him--or shooting him his kevlar, even--isn't?
>>78273676
His hand was taped up in a way that only a headshot was possible
>>78274096
DD's arm was bound in an angle that arguably only allows for a headshot.
>>78274171
Man, I don't know why the Punisher bugs me so damn much when I absolutely love Doom.
>>78274203
Dredd. Judge Dredd. Not doom.
>>78274127
Looks chained, and only around the wrist itself.
You'd have to have the forearm and hand completely bound in several layers of tape or chain in order to restrict the possible target area to something as small as a head.
>>78274253
Dunno man, Frank's words
>>78274286
The writer's words. The writer who either communicated poorly with the artist or is a moron.
