What do you expect? We won't get any more episodes until 2016. The reason why they aired this special before the suppose Duckula episode is because it's Christmas.

As soon as a I saw him I immediately anticipated him playing some role in the story, was dissapoined quite quickly.
Pretty good special. Though not sure if it's just me, but the voice acting seems ever so slightly off/unusual.

I suppose, yes, just some of the little inflections in the voice. Maybe it was notable because I watch and listen to a lot of Danger Mouse via headphones. It's not a major greivance, was a lot of fun to watch.
