Rocky start, but since the Livewire episode I've enjoyed it. Sometimes it's too on the nose, I really wish they'd decide whether they want Winn to be sympathetic or a douchebag, and the drama is a little awkward, but I like it.

It's basically what I expect from first seasons of modern TV shows. It's trying to find it's footing and it's slowly getting there. If they do grace it with a season 2 I think it'll be a better show. DC's shows tend to take a serious look at what people are saying negativity-wise and work on fixing it.

Yeah, right now I think it's about on par with Arrow s1 in terms of quality. Moments of greatness amidst moments of spotiness. It seems to be establishing things well enough, though. They've stopped referencing Superman every scene, Kara is still learning to be a hero but coping with larger scale hero problems instead of just balancing her job.

Flash's episode was a great episode in terms of being an episodic adventure but I think Zoom's BTFO moment should have been saved for the midseason finale. You couldn't really top that and the mid-season twist was kind of weak and expected.
Arrow's midseason was pretty good I thought but I just felt nothing about Felicity dying.
This episode, as an episode itself, is weaker than Flash's but as a midseason finale it was pretty damn great.

Felicity was a great supporting character. She had great lines, great moments, and generally made the show better. She added some comic relief to all the tension without being the butt of a joke. As a romantic lead, they have to throw way too much drama with her, and it just ruined everything.

>Flash's episode was a great episode in terms of being an episodic adventure but I think Zoom's BTFO moment should have been saved for the midseason finale. You couldn't really top that and the mid-season twist was kind of weak and expected.
I kept thinking "if that wasn't even the mid season finale what are they gonna do for that?" And was kinda excited for the episode then when the promo came out, I liked it but was hoping there was just some mid season stuff they weren't really showing. It just kinda felt so disappointing, I wasn't expecting an identity reveal because that was when they did it last year and already said they want the zoom mystery to last way longer but I just hoped for anything more than what was more or less a normal episode.

What I loved about it was that it wasn't some random moment of super smarts or these huge leaps in logic some characters have (seriously the way some figure out about another's double life in TV can be considered reaching very hard) it was legitimate common sense. She pieced together moments that weren't big deals but when you look at them together any person of average intelligence can piece together something is up. One of the best parts of it is she mentioned Kara saying "oh I overheard him", seconds after she said that she tried to cover it up and most shows would just have everyone ignore slip ups like that. It was all just common sense if you pay even a remote amount of attention to her and the way she acts or reacts to things.
I honestly didn't care if anyone found out soon but when someone did I was just glad it wasn't a really stupid way of the world going out of its way to make someone suspicious.

Veteran Supergirl writer Sterling Gates will be penning the new title, which will be drawn by a cast of rotating artists including Bengal, Jonboy Meyers, Emanuela Lupacchino, and Emma Vieceli.
