Alright Canadians time to defend your cartoons
Ed Edd n Eddy

>Canadians
>being blind to their own fuck-ups
Choose one.
Blame the CRTC for forcing channels to have a certain percentage of original Canadian content.

>Total Drama
You lost me already!
>>78164280
I wish I screen capped it but I remember a thread where a /co/nadian explained how almost no one in Canada's animation industry gives a shit about their work.
Listen here buddy!
Canadian toons > Ameriturds.
And I'm not your buddy, pal!
>>78164314
It's a genuinely good show
>>78164394
>>78164202
Legitimately patrician-tier Canadian animated series. Most others are fucking cancer though.
>>78164394
>>78164229
I'm Canadian and just want to say Total Drama is SHIT.
Our American collabs are generally pretty good though
>>78164824
O though it looks tasty, then I reverse searched it.
>>78164202
They don't pander to SJWs
I'm a New Zealander and what the fuck was this
Literally the most disgusting cartoon I've ever seen
Explain this shit Canadians, what is it about people in your country that drives them to make things like this?
>>78164202
>narwhal
>having fur
>>78165087
you just don't understand our culture
>>78164202
What's the point? Every show that comes out of this country is shit
>>78165079
Not OP, but allow me to set this thread to Hard-Mode.No cartoons from before the late 2000's.
>>78164202
didn't the guy who created this also create the American show Fish Hooks?
>>78165380I tried
>>78164202
I don't know about you but when I look at this I have a hard time imagining it was the first idea someone brought to the table and not like the fifth, or that this is what they imagined it would look like.
>>78164807
>still no season 2
Get on it, Justin.
>>78165444
I looked it up and he did but the guy himself (Noah Z Jones) is canadian
he also created pickle and peanut
A lone whipcrack could be heard in the distance
>>78165502
A lot of American creators and actors are of Canadian descent so that's not shocking.
>>78165497
I consider Fred's Head to be a self-contained series in and of itself. We got perfectly good closure and there wasn't anything left unfinished or unanswered. I haven't cared whether they do more or not, and from the looks of it, since the show ended like 6-7 years ago, I don't think they will.
>>78165227
I don't think I want to then
>>78164202
want your shitty idea for a cartoon to become reality? get your canadian citizenship, walk into the cbc with no preparation and just sorta tell them what it's about and BAM! chilly beach
>>78164202
Canadian here,
I actually have little to nothing to actually defend us. Yeah we had Total Drama, but it started going downhill midway season 2. From there on, it's just been used as a cash cow. Kind of depressing that Teletoon is just airing Johnny Test, Rocket Monkeys, and all that beautiful stuff. There may be a few more duds, but I didn't have the time to check some of their other shows. Atleast they have Totally Spies, and George of The Jungle on there. Don't get me started with YTV. They still air Almost Naked Animals, Sidekick, Numb Chucks, Scardy Squirrel, Rated A For Awesome, and their other shows like Breadwinners, and you know what else. They've even replaced a few slots for Spongebob (which they had like, 2 for. Now they have 4 slots of Spongebob in just a 3 hour period), but I'm getting a little off topic.
Point is, we're bad. We may have a few gems, but the crap that we create often takes over those gems. I question whether we even care.

>>78164202
We at least made one of the comfiest cartoons in existence

>Ed Edd and Eddy
>Ruby Gloom
>6TEEN
>Total Drama
>Stoked
>Fred's Head
My list would be longer if it included kids shows that dont make you want to kill yourself when watching them with your baby sister. But literally every country is good at that besides america.
>>78165866
Totally Spies is French though. At least we can all agree the french make god tier shows
>>78169360
I thought Totally Spies was made in Quebec?
>>78169399
You just might be right. I just always assumed that it was french because I cant separate it from Code Lyoko which CN paired together for years.
And because it seems to air first in Europe before america.
>>78169399
Just checked Wikipedia, seems like we're both right. Country of Origin lists both France and Canada
>>78169326
People like 6TEEN?
Prepare for some insane nostalgia

>>78169578
People dont?
Canadians recently got their own Cartoon Network (replacing Teletoon Retro, which moved some of their shows to regular Teletoon), and it's basically the same as American CN, with reruns of Adventure Time and Teen Titans Go. We even get some old Adult Swim shows like ATHF and the Brak Show
>tfw no Canadian Toonami to watch alongside American Toonami.
>>78169744
>Latin America CN will always be the best due to actually respecting action shows
>>78169744
I miss Teletoon Retro
At least the Canadians get Arc-V dubbed while we don't. Are they EVER gonna bring that shit to the actual country it was fucking dubbed in?
Not that I don't like the subs, it's just so hard to marathon shows that require a lot of reading.
>>78169606
Cybersix was better

Are there any foreign cartoons that are good?
>>78169889
Not many
America has nearly all types of media by the balls
Our cartoons are 20% cooler than anywhere else
>>78169889
mostly from France.
Wakfu
Dofus
Oggy & the Cockroaches
Zig & Sharko
Ladybug
