>Surely, we all can agree that the One Sith are much stupider than the Banite Sith, and retarded in almost every way.

FTFY.

Seriously, you take an order of power-hungry psychopaths defined by their amoral ambition to the point that the previous ruleset established that there could only be two Sith so that the apprentice would NEED to be stronger than the master in order to take over, which created an order that not only lasted 1000 years, but also finally exterminated the Jedi and literally conquered the entire galaxy, and then you decide to undo that rule and have TONS AND TONS OF SITH, and then expect them all to be BLINDLY LOYAL to the Sith Order's leader because you told them to?

To the surprise of absolutely no one, the One Sith suffered from infighting and usurper attempts, as you should have noticed when Darth Wyyrlock III betrayed Krayt and tried to seize the throne. The One Sith suffered the same long, slow collapse that the Sith Empires of old dealt with, unable to overcome the Galactic Alliance.

The Banite Sith WON. Their way WORKED. The Banite Sith, for the first time in galactic history, ENDED THE REPUBLIC and EXTERMINATED ALMOST THE ENTIRE JEDI ORDER. The only flaw in the Banite Sith was Vader's susceptibility to his son's attempts at redeeming him. Without that, Sidious could have established an eternal Empire that would never fall, completed his quest for immortality and lived forever as the immortal Emperor of the Galactic Empire.

The One Sith had to piggyback on the remnants of Palpatine's Empire just to get into power, and as soon as they had it, they lost it almost as quickly.

Banite Sith > One Sith.

Banite Sith >>>>>>>>>>> One Sith.

I expect that Wolffe and Gregor are either involved with the Alliance in some way or munching on Big Bongo for the next year.

As for why Gregor changed so much:

Consider Abafar. One DAY almost drove Meebur Gascon to full-on madness. The greatest strategic mind the Republic, nay, the GALAXY has ever seen was almost lost to the trackless wastes of that planet in a SINGLE DAY.

Now imagine you're a clone who only just now recovered from horrible amnesia induced by a head injury.

Now imagine you recover your memory and then get caught in a massive cluster of explosions that should kill you, but you manage to survive.

And then, by the time someone finds you and rescues you, they perform impromptu brain surgery to remove a chunk of your brain.

How sane would you be?

They've grown on me, I wouldn't mind them fucking around sometime after the Battle of Yavin.

Continuity will always bug me, as much as I loved hearing Frank Oz as Yoda, I think they should have limited him to just being a force manifestation on Kanan's part, and not included that connection with Ezra.

It's arguably a minor point, and I don't think it affects the whole narrative too much. Regardless of whether or not Luke is actually the last of the Jedi, it's hard to disagree that he becomes the central/most important Jedi after Yoda's death.

Pleasantly surprised to be drawn into Hera and Sabine's stories, disappointed in Zeb.

I get your point about the budget cuts having an effect on the quality of the art, but I really disagree that the writing is worse. I'm actually enjoying rebels a lot more than I did clone wars - and the first two seasons of rebels are far and away better than the first two of CW
>>
To that one anon asking for Season 5 of TCW, did anyone else deliver yet? I'm still uploading
>>
>>78150003
The existence of a Sith force-ghost would prove that the Sith were as demonstrably legitimate an order as the Jedi.

The Jedi argument for the sith being "wrong," and therefore inherently evil, is that they use the force without acting in synch with it. They abuse it, controlling it with force of will, rather than with self-discipline. It's why the sith can produce neat tricks like lightning, but Jedi can return as force ghosts.

A Sith force ghost would mean that the Sith aren't evil, they're just better users of the force than the Jedi.

They're modeling them after the McQuarrie designs as a stylistic choice. You can see Vader's helmet taking some influence from it too.

the closest I have seen is the end of Dark Disciple where at Ventress funeral its implied she rejoined the night sisters because welcoming voices could be heard calling Sister. Though the debate then would pop up if the Sisters count as Sith or if their more neutral alignment allowed a type conscious after life existence below that of a ghost but above the Siths ceasing to be.
>>
>>78151596
Season 2 has a larger budget compared to Season 1, but it's still tiny compared to what George was throwing in the pot for TCW.
>>
>>78151687
>if the Sisters count as Sith
The Sith are a very specific set of dark siders with their own knowledge, rituals, and techniques. The Sisters aren't Sith, they're just another dark side cult.

>George Lucas was pumping over a million dollars into each episode
You seriously believe this don't you?
>>
>>78152094
He was. TCW was one of the more expensive shows out there. There's a reason why it looks so gorgeous, and that's because he was putting huge amounts of money into the show, at least $1 million per episode in the first season alone, and the budget definitely got higher as the show progressed.

http://io9.com/5033398/george-lucas-spills-all-about-clone-wars-at-skywalker-ranch

>>This series is a test run for the live action series I'm working on. I'm trying to take Star Wars, which was a $50-million-an-hour adventure, and do it for $2 million an hour. It's hard to do that and have them look the same.

>Star Wars features are probably more than $50 million per hour, though the reported budget on Revenge of the Sith is $115 million. What Lucas does seem to be saying is that each half-hour episode of Clone Wars is budgeted at about $1 million. Producer Catherine Winder confirmed that Lucas Animation already has a 22-episode season complete, so Lucas has sunk $22 million into this series so far. But it's likely much more, when you consider startup costs of creating an entire new division. And with 100 episodes planned, this series may end up costing more than a Star Wars movie.
>>
>>78152094
>>78152170

And to add on, TCW (the movie) was the first four episodes stitched together into something resembling a feature film. It's budget was $8.5 million.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Clone_Wars_%28film%29
http://www.the-numbers.com/movie/Star-Wars-The-Clone-Wars#tab=summary
>>
>>78152170
Not only did he pump a lot of money in, he made something like a mini Pixar at Lucasfilm. I think Disney realizes this which is why they're giving more budget each season. Season three is going to have 5 more episodes than two.
>>
>>78152170
This sounds like a lot until you realize that they probably made all their money back from toy sales right after the first season aired.
>>
>>78152094
After the divisiveness of the prequels he wanted to make people see his ideas in a better light and thought a television series would help others see his ideas more clearly. It's a well known fact he pumped his own money into TCW, he has the money and then some to do that. It was a passion project for him.
>>
So how do lightsabers work in Uprising? Do you just swing one around or are you a force user now?

>>
>>78152347
No, but we never said that, did we? All we said was it had a huge budget that George was putting into it, while Disney isn't giving the same budget to Rebels.

Realistically, Disney already made back the $4 billion they spent purchasing LucasFilm within about a year. They've already recouped the costs for TFA thanks to all the toys, and it's not even out yet.

Finn is still secondary, and he is an error that will not be tolerated again.

Boyega was JJ's personal choice, Disney went apeshit at JJ for this because they know it hurts the revenue.

Most asians (and all chinese) hate blacks with a passion, that's why he has been shrinked in the chinese poster.

It's very interesting how in our western culture we have these "racists" and these sjw "tolerants" and this fight with blacks and all, but in reality in most parts of the world blacks are hated and considered inferior. Even indians hate blacks for some reason.

As an example there are no blacks in Rogue One, but there is an asian character.

I'm not arguing with you on that point, because that requires actual data and not some generalization and anecdotes,

Am I the only person who doesn't get why people complain about the PT fights? The only shit fights in the PT are when Yoda fights because it looks out of character as fuck, and the part of the Anakin/Obi Wan fight where they get on those tiny little things floating in the lava. Everything else was flashy, but not absolutely retarded or anything. I admit that the OT's fights were more emotional but generally the PT fights work well as just fights and aren't bad or anything even if they're worse than the OT ones.
>>
>>78156103
I remember the part where Anakin and Obi-wan are twirling their lightsabers in front of each other was an "oh come the fuck on" moment too.

The best part of the fight is when they were drop kicking each other on the table.
>>
>>78156103
>The only shit fights in the PT are when Yoda fights because it looks out of character as fuck
Am I the only person who doesn't get why a character's depiction almost thirty years prior to how we last saw them is for some reason construed as out of character? You might as well say Han's accepting that the Jedi, Dark Side and the Force are real as out of character too. Yoda's view of things changed significantly between Episodes III and V, it shouldn't be so hard to see that, especially as of his own arc in TCW. He may have been 800 years old by the time of RotS, but that relatively small interval of time making up the Clone Wars and their abrupt end did so much more damage than anything else he may have seen in his eight centuries of life up till that point.

People change according to their experiences.

Come on man. Yoda is an old little being who very obviously has a philosophy of 'mind over matter' in the OT. Can you really not see why having him doing 30 flips with a lightsaber in his hand would be out of character?
>>
>>78156262
Me too. It felt like they were in a mini stalemate because they are so familiar with each other. At that point in the fight they found themselves unsure, unable to attack or defend so they got suck in that breif pattern. Thats my stupid take on it.

Yes. In the OT.

>Can you really not see why having him doing 30 flips with a lightsaber in his hand would be out of character?
No I can't. Because he did all that thirty years prior in the PT where that sort of things was actually quite commonplace before the establishment he belonged to was all but destroyed from right under his nose, and on his watch. Again, this all took place thirty years prior to how we see him as a mind over matter philosopher in the OT, which is amusing because Palpatine in fact used mind to destroy the Jedi with matter

It's you that doesn't seem to grasp the reality that time and experience change people
>>
>>78156472
That's stupid and not how Star Wars works. You can kill Yoda by dropping a rock on his head. Vader flies a fighter. Palpatine believes in giant planet-killing space stations. Yoda trained Luke to be an assassin, not a mystic.
>>
>>78156464
>A wise 900 year old Jedi master shouldn't have to "change" after 20 years.
And why shouldn't he? He'd lived the first 800-some years of his life resting on his laurels in the Jedi Temple. In just three years, all of that eroded, crumbled and was swept away. His entire livelihood was annihilated. People have been in relationships for 4, 5, even 10 years only to have an incident spanning a couple days to a few months completely destroy that relationship.
>>
>>78156464
Real people aren't always consistent in their words or actions, especially after a span of time. Why should a fictional character be any different?
>>
>>78156798
>Be-be-because Yoda's a zen master wise muppet so he should stay stagnant and not change
>>
>>78156525
He never even trained him with a lightsaber though. In fact, the only time when Luke wants to use it on Dagobah, Yoda tells him that "he doesn't need a weapon". I'm not saying Yoda is a pacifist, but I think the prequels overstated the importance of the lightsaber. The force is what really gives a Jedi his power, the lightsaber seemed to be more like a symbol in the OT.
>>

>>
The more I see Attack of the Clones the more I realize how fucking bad that movie is
>>
>>78156887
>the lightsaber seemed to be more like a symbol in the OT
That doesn't really make much sense when between the Force and the lightsaber, the latter was the one used most often and much more applicable in a variety of situations. The lightsaber is part of what makes a Jedi who they are. As a whole, it may be the "symbol" and visual identifier of the Jedi Order, but it's no less important to the image and portrayal of the Jedi as the Force, the latter of which isn't quite as tangible. There definitely could have been better ways to portray their power and influence in the movies, but there wasn't much opportunity given the pacing of the plot. No one really needed to "learn" anything past TPM because it not only would disturb the flow of the narrative and character drama for spectacle, but also the characters as we'd come to know them already came with the necessary foundations.

These aliens would be "perhaps the source of the original Sith" who would use the dark side "more out of necessity and for survival than with evil intent." They would have been able to observe the Star Wars galaxy as a beacon of light in the Force for a thousand generations, fearing it as the source of a "light-bringer" who was prophesied to destroy their own civilization. It's a shame it took them this long. They've had close to two years to do this and only just now, less than a week before TFA, do they finally decide to implement it.

Apparently it's not even that big of a hassle because bots are going to do it? In that case why the hell did they drag their feet so long? I had assumed it was because this would be a huge, daunting and time-consuming task but apparently it really was that the Wook editors were having trouble letting go.
>>

>it really was that the Wook editors were having trouble letting go.
Pretty much. They could've done this a long time ago and there had been talk of doing it since last year, they just didn't want to because a lot of them still had that "we should present them both equally and let readers decide which canon they prefer" which is just a douchey way of keeping legends as the preferred articles and downplaying canon. They've shown a distinct and sometimes aggressive reluctance to let go of the old way. Even though there was a unanimous vote to make canon the default, they act as if they're making some sacrifice for the good of the site and a lot of the major editors have stated they're still going to focus almost exclusively on editing legends articles.

They're no longer kicking and screaming about the new canon but they're still sure as hell pouting about it.

Really I only found JarJar and Boss Nass particularly annoying. Mostly because I have a hard time figuring out what they're saying.

I just had a really weird dream where I went to see TFA but suddenly the movie was finished and I forgot everything that happened, and ended up sad and confused because for some reason I couldn't remember it.

I didn't like that dream.

There was a gungan smuggler in some book or comic

Just finished watching episode 6. Watched episode 5 earlier today, and episode 4 last night when that anon streamed it. And now i'm finally ready for the journey to continue on wednesday. Hoping it will turn out well!

Can someone gimme the pic with the TCW episode guide?

If you thought Disney couldn't market TFA even more as OT Part 2, take a listen to the newest TV spot.

>Jawas weren't indigenous to Tatooine in the EU, but simultaneously they never shown them as anything but scavengers and there are maybe 3 named ones with any significance, 2 of which are those Jawas from Jabba's palace

Yes they were. Jawas and Tuskens share a common ancestor, who were the natives of Tatooine before the Rakatans glassed that shit and turned it into a desert.

Boyega does look pretty spergy, though. Why not cast someone who is black but has a more classical heroic look?

No one complained about Lando, because Lando was a cool smuggler.

Why are /co/tards such insufferable liberal faggots? Boyega looks out of place. That's not racist to say no one's excited about his character.

explain why he looks out of place, lad. and there are plenty of people excited about Finn.

I don't like this image. It paints a pretty decent robot in a bad light, he haven't done anything wrong.

Because Finn's not supposed to be a space pimp like Lando, he's supposed to be a runaway stormtrooper.

It doesn't look to me like he's supposed to be some sort of fated hero, just a soldier who went AWOL following an attack of conscience.

Sounds boring
>>
>>78160791
Not that guy but Boyega looks like some black guy I would have smoked weed with in high school. Something about him just screams "Cool black friend I play games with" and not "Former Stormtrooper and main character for Episode 7".
>>
So I just finished Season 1 (I think) and I'm completely flipping my shit. Why is this series so good? Or better yet, why is this series so much better than Clone Wars?

Can someone please make a webm of Kylo Ren walking down that hallway with his hood off?
