I think certain channels like ABC and CBS have a tradition of showing both of these showings, hence why ABC Family only shows the "sequels" and other obscure specials.

That was the 1931 cartoon called "The Snowman" (and a great, gruesome one it was), but I'm pretty sure this poster meant the 1990s cartoon special by Raymond Briggs—a sweet and gentle cartoon in which nobody is threatened with being eaten.
