Yeah. A character introduced fairly early on in the season betrays them and summons an ancient evil being.
They pulled out a lot of continuity this season. A lot of references to previous episodes and genuine world building. I like that.

Jerry Beck interviewed Doug Langdale, who is in charge of the show. He created The Weekenders and Dave the Barbarian, and made the only good episodes of the Kung Fu Panda cartoon.
Puss in Boots is getting 78 episodes. After today, they've shown 26 episodes. There is a whole lot more episodes coming. Hopefully they keep it up with the world building.
