Original /out/ here. I don't think it would've gone the way Robinson was planning it. I think we would've just gotten JLA Earth 2 as opposed to JSA. For his faults he at least kept the character traits that Robinson set up and didn't have Jay be a drunk and miss out on missions because he's depressed.

Please god this, hell at this point if they made the whole thing a hallucination Fate had when he put on the helmet I'd be cool with it. Robinson's original idea of a sorta Ultimate JSA was brilliant could've with the right writer behind it gone to show that the characters can exist and beyond their Golden Age origins. Hell it could've been a great way to get new fans into the JSA, especially now that Jay Garrick has become a character on the Flash. But yeahhh... instead we got THAT.
