I would post a wooden wolf creature but then I'd get banned for dumb reasons.

That's what you get for watching a show intended for preschoolers
>>
The background characters in Hunchback of Notre Dame were cel shaded 3D models though they stick out like a sore thumb

Disney has been using 3D models since The Black Cauldron (the cauldron itself) then they would switch to the CAPS system (made by Pixar) which was used I think from The Little Mermaid onwards. Curiously the CGI in Oliver and Company looks better than what's used in Aladdin or Tarzan, I guess it depends on what they used it for. Atlantis has some CGI that holds up really well iirc

I believe this counts

It's funny you bring up the Iron Giant, because the robot was CG.
Since he's supposed to be robotic it really doesn't draw that much attention.
>>
>>77953213
To be honest robots are better to animate in CG or stop motion and Iron Giant is no exception
>>
>>77952860
The fact that CG goes back as far as The Black Cauldron has always felt so fucking weird to me. I always associate it's birth as a mid-90's thing thanks to stuff like Toy Story, so anything earlier feels someone dabbled in chronological shenanigans.

I still remember Dipper going full badass mode. Fuck, I'm sad it's ending.

I absolutely hate this in animation. It's so fucking jarring.

not entirely sure if we have a class for that. im looking for it.

At this point I'm pretty sure it isn't.
Anyway, it's still fucking autistic that this triggers /co/ worse than someone using the word nigger around black people.

They had this behind the scenes documentary where they showed off how they animated the planet express ship, it was really expensive stuff.

There's some tutorials on how to do it for games, like http://www.lighthouse3d.com/tutorials/glsl-12-tutorial/toon-shading-version-i/, but I have no idea if computer animation follows a remotely similar process.

That was great. Hope he ends up doing that on the finale instead of remaining a beta faggot.
