Wanda is just such a fantastic character, yet comic book writers have repeatedly squandered her potential.
To me she has that combination of power and vulnerability that makes me root for her. She's an outsider who sincerely cares for others.
She's not taught like Strange, she has to learn all this weird shit with little help. Her powers are dark and she must fight to retain her goodness.
I really hope we get that arc of self-belief and realizing just how strong she is in the MCU.

The movies really did save lots of good characters from destruction. Iron Man had been so OOC for so long that him being a cold douche was becoming IN character, and the movie saved him. The Abnett and Lanning cast of cosmic guys was probably gonna be dead for years before the movie rejuvenated them. Granted being written by Bendis may have been a fate worse than death. I doubt we'd be seeing much of Scott Lang if not for his movie. All these characters are at least getting second and third chances because of the popularity of these films.
