I dunno, that's kind of a valid description - I've read a couple of 'em, and most of the popular ones focused on making one or two wrestlers look really good. Books that make the whole roster active are a more recent thing.

I really liked it up until the ending. I was expecting something like The Wrestler, but the mysterious beating, the threats to leave town, and now the revenge just make me think of Southern Bastards. If this just turns out to be a crime drama I'll be really dissapointed
