Henderson is a lot better when she doesn't add too many details to her characters. this looks better than Squirrel Girl

These new Archie comics have like 5 variants per issue, it's ridiculous.
I am loving the new stuff though, although I've never read any older Archie stuff, I wonder how it compares.

Archie is catering to the direct market completely. They know variants sell to retailers, and to buyers. Yes, people still buy multiple covers to a comic.
For instance, Aspen always does 4 covers for issue #4. My retailer orders 1 or 2 copies of Aspen books, but will order 4 for the #4.
