Namor is dead. Long live Namor.
ITT You post Namor.
Allow me also to storytime some Namor.
My dying words will be "IMPERIUS REX!!!"

Oh, Namor. You clown.
In this issue, Namor punches the filthy reds..

Glorious.
Namor is dead? How? You'd think there'd be a little more fanfare considering Namor is one of the actual founding characters of Marvel aside from Jim Hammond and Captain America.
How does Namor keep a diary underwater?
Because NAMOR.
>>77794038
Marvel flat out spoiled that he gets killed in the first issue of Squadron Supreme, to prove that they're totally serious business yo.
>>77794038
I think they finally caught on that no one really cares about comic book deaths anymore.
Now if they made a new Sub-Mariner (even if he hasn't been that in decades) that's an african-asian paraplegic otherkin or something, there you would see some reaction.
>>77794056
The movie rights don't influence character decisions.
They said.
We won't abandon our founding characters.
They said.
>>77794099
>Dat last panel
Badass.
>>77794109
Death is just a way to bench a character.
I just find Namor's whole family a funny example of comic book deaths.
You start with Namor, Namora, and Namorita. The Namora dies of poison.
Then Civil War and Agents of Atlas happens and Namora is alive and Namorita is dead.
And now Namorita is back (or rather an alternate dimension double of her is back) and Namor will be dead.
Wasn't Namora also married to Namor recently? She has to deal with losing her daughter and her husband. Sucks to be her.

I like how practicing without a license is more serious than murder attempt for Namor.

Are Squadron Supreme killing Namor off in response to his destroying a world as part of the Illuminati, or his allying with Thanos?
I have to say the Illuminati thing was completely retarded. Everyone was prepared to destroy that world and they had already killed off its greatest heroes (meaning even if was saved another incursion would have destroyed it) and then suddenly Dr. Strange and Black Panther got cold feet, and then hated Namor for following through? Terrible writing.
>>77794499

I think that SS wants to kill Namor because of Illuminati.
>>77794502
That's what I said too in another thread. But you see, Namor is the only Illuminati without a movie coming up, so, HE MUST PAY FOR ALL THE OTHERS.
>>77794509
oh yeaaaah
>>77794512

he was also the first flying superhero
the first antihero

>>77794519
In many ways, it's a blessing that Namor is not fully owned by Marvel. It saves us a lot of unnecessary retcons and headaches.
>>77794519
The Squadron Supreme thing might be kind of interesting if they decide to kill off everyone who was involved in it. Namor definitely doesn't deserve sole blame.
