I'm glad they had that Cheetah animation error and brought her back. Having a character get killed in that episode would have been ridiculously out of tone.

The two-parters rarely if ever had any depth. If anything, they were padded out with useless plot points. Fight this because of this. Now fight this because of this.
JLU had much better one-off episodes and over-arcing storylines.

I had the opposite reaction. It's a great episode, but it just leaves me asking what is even the point of a token guest starring episode if the show is just going to go right back to ignoring the character's existence?
I go right from the high of "hey, my favorite New Gods are in an episode!" to the low of "oh, the is the last time I'll see them, and the show has zero interest in developing the characters into the regular roster."
