It even started as a huge ad for Macy's like >>77723045 said. At this point, it's a huge commercialist fuckfest that passes as a tradition.

Money. You pay, you get in. It's just gotten worse in the past decade as less people care about the Macy's Parade then they used to.
Much like the rest of Thanksgiving, the Macy's Day Parade is but a celebration of commercialism, a tribute to the "Black Friday" rituals performed upon completion of the traditional feast.

I'm just saying; when people start the 24/7 Christmas radio stations the first minute into November, then you have to realize that Thanksgiving is a dead holiday.

How about you just get rid of your computer and go live in the woods than fagboi

I've always seen Thanksgiving as part of the general holiday season that encompasses Christmas. I'd prefer to see Thanksgiving TV specials first, but since there is a severe lack of Thanksgiving themed songs I'm fine with Christmas music hitting the airwaves.

>Much like the rest of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is by FAR the least commercialized major holiday.
Despite it's significance, the only big economic impact of it is from travel and very specific niche food items. Hell, it's bad for the restaurant business.
That's why you keep seeing Christmas stuff in stores earlier, music, decorations, Christmas sales, all that. You can't really commercialize Thanksgiving, so big corporations are trying to just downplay Thanksgiving and draw out Christmas as much as possible.
