Speaking as a bi-partisan, but mostly a DCfag, here is what I hope:
BvS is starting the entire franchise out with the conflict. They're getting it out of the way. They're going to forge the friendship of their three biggest heroes together, at once, in a major event. Hopefully, that means they get it out of the way, and the rest of the movies can focus on their dynamic while working together, and playing up their relationship, their strengths and their weaknesses. This is especially important for Batman and Superman, who are two sides of the same coin, and are supposed to share a deep friendship despite having such different views, although similar ideals. This is why their meeting taking place as a conflict is important, as it gives them a place to start, and a direction to grow in. Hopefully, we see their bond strengthen.
As opposed to the Avengers, who started being friends because, hey why not, we're all heroes, but never really showed their friendships based on any sort of mutual respect (for the most part). And now they're throwing non-existent relationships into turmoil, and Tony's line about being Steve's friend is almost laughable because any friendship between them was mostly implied, or merely a friendship of convenience.

I actually like that it just looks like Winter Soldier 2. I don't give a shit about Civil War, I want to see a continuation of Captain America's world and story. This movie looks like that. It feels like Steve leading the Secret Avengers. He always works best with a team. I don't really like Iron Man and Spider-Man being in it, as I've seen five movies from each where they are the main character, and I'd rather see more Captain America based characters, but I do like Black Panther being in it. Black Panther and Captain America work well together because they both deal with geopolitical conflicts in their worlds.

That's not restored color as the costume was never that color to begin with, they just over saturated it because they didn't like the dark blue of his costume, which they actually brightened up for BvS. That scene where he's flying is also a very colorful sequence.
Also, washing out the destruction scene and over saturating it is just dumb. All the smoke/dust/rubble would cause it to be dark in that area. The person who did this 'recoloring' doesn't know shit about colors.

People give Nolan's movies a hard time now, but in and of itself his Batman is pretty cool. At least on a thematic level, no other superhero movie has been able to beat out the Dark Knight. That's the only one that has done what the true ideal of writing superhero stories is about, creating symbolic mythology that expresses a portrait of some aspect of the human experience. It had some weight and actual meaning to it.

You know, Snyder still catches shit for how Watchmen turned out, but I remember him saying way back when that he agreed with people who felt that Watchmen shouldn't be filmed. That it was tied to the comic medium, perhaps inextricably. Makes sense, given how big of a fan of comics he is.
I don't rule out the possibility that he only took on Watchmen to keep it from being completely butchered by another director who may not have cared about the source material. After all, if a studio wants a movie made, they'll just keep looking for directors until somebody agrees to do it. I still like Watchmen. It's the best possible adaptation we could have gotten as a movie that was at least somewhat close to the comics, whether that means it actually works as a film or not I'm not sure. It takes a huge pair of brass balls to adapt the unfilmable comic, but he did his best and I think he did a pretty good job trying to wrangle everything into an actual movie.

I wish all that poetic hyperbole were true. Looking back, the last two installments of the trilogy were self-indulgent navel-gazing that cared more about the overarching themes than the actual characters involved in the story. The Airport fight seems to to end with Rhodes getting brutally savaged and I think Bucky does that with him switching to "Anti Reg are allies Pro Reg are enemies. Terminate enemies." and he tackles Rhodes out of the sky, smashes up his suit and rips the rector out.
Despite that Cap will still insist on keeping Bucky safe from the law and that's when Tony becomes completely determined to take Bucky down.
It looks like Bucky snaps against Iron Man in the later fight too which might be when Steve finally has to give in and get Bucky mental help.

Nah man, the Dark Knight has real depth that's not a shallow perception. It encapsulated the existential fear and disillusionment of post 9/11 America, with the Joker being the force embodying the harsh truth that our systems of security we rely on are a facade that can be easily turned on its head, and Batman being the embodiment of order that goes above and beyond the laws of society, with Bruce's sonar device mirroring the use of various surveillance techniques used by our government and other figures to combat these elements of chaos in the world, but can also easily be abused and turned on its own people or used to consolidate power for oneself. Nolan was expressing some poignant stuff in his story
