Sometimes it gets to where I can't even tell whats going on. Like I tried to catch up on the attack on titan manga and just goddamn. Everyone looks the same and has the same expression, and I would have no idea whats happening if not for the golden age style narration.

no. if the art is ultra shitty I don't even start reading it, unless its for comedy (like whom the god destroy) on pic related, stories love to play up "leave all your stuff" but if you have no money your family will be dead or as whores wherever they end up at

It depends. Some comics with shit art know they have shit art and go out of their way to explain things clearly in the dialogue or with extra narration, so even with the art being bad it's still readable. However if a comic uses its art to tell a large part of the story and it's so bad you can't even understand what's happening then I'll drop it for sure.

Yes, Larsen came up with his own ending to Moore's run, it was fucking godawful and he completely missed the point of Moore's story only because he wanted to bring back Liefeld's original Supreme.

I was a huge fan of the original G.I. Joe series as a kid, but I dropped it in the early 90s because M.D. Bright's artwork got lazier and lazier.
I was really pissed when I picked up Icon a few years later and saw how much better his work was when he really put effort into it.

I'm not sure if ONE is a fair example. His art is usually very basic, but his paneling is good. And he's quite good at conveying what's happening in a scene. I would rather read original OPM or MP100 than read some of the other examples posted ITT.
