Has a character in a cartoon ever been fat for a long period only to become skinny later on and stay that way, or vise-versa?
Only one I can think of is Gingers mom in ATBG, but I'm pretty sure she was still a bit weighty.

They're generally played off as being stupid/lazy/gluttonous. As much as it makes me sound like some sort of SJW, it's annoying when ANY time a character is fat it's because they're stupid.
Not to mention there has literally never been a fat female in a cartoon that wasn't used as a joke one way or another.
Not counting fat anthro characters, of course. Usually when it's a fat anthro character they're generically sassy. Also I'm not a furry.

Althought I'm not 100% conviced by the GF series, Soos is one of the best fat characters I've ever seen. I mean, his weight is not considered a character treat, and that's impressive considering most fat characters archtypes.
