It's a total romp book. It's kind of throwing a bunch of genres into a blender that comes out as "adventure" and just having a blast with it. Ewing's setting up the specific team interaction lines, and White Tiger/Squirrel Girl's Batman/Superman dynamic is solid, and Power Man being so upfront and blunt, in a casual way, with Wiccan is a great way to take him, makes them really feel like their young ages? Songbird's the one with age and experience and acts like it, and POD being given some personality and angst over her current status leading to her being rejected by her girlfriend makes for some good grounds for character work. It's not gonna be the best book ever or anything, but it really fills a niche.

Because it's having to cram about 8 different plots, half of them editorially mandated, into its opening arc, has officially moved into the STUPIDEST phase of "mutants seclude themselves from humanity", and nobody's personality really feels... real, aside from Forge's? Everybody feels kind of like they're going through the motions. Storm's disaffected attitude to finding Kurt's tail is not a great sign.
The amount of time spent on Old Man Logan is a total mistake, too, I don't care about any of his shit, and he and Jean are kind of dominating the book already. And while Jean's not horrible like she was under Bendis, she's not looking very interesting so far either.
