/co/ is full of people parrots who insist that is should have ended at #100 even though they themselves only read the first ten issues.
I've always been a big fan of spawn and have bought every single issue since #1. I'd say the best issues are 150-250ish (although a few of the issues between the apocalypse arc and the first Downing arc were terrible.)

McFarlane isn't a good writer.
The best Spawn is the animated series, which was mostly handled by other people.

Only thing I remember about spawn was he had a cool game.

I only read the first 30 or so, just felt like it wasn't ever going anywhere. Considered going back and reading more, but there's always something else to read first.
