What? An anti-hero is just a protagonist that is flawed enough to be at least somewhat questionable in their standing. I mean unless they've changed the definition while I wasn't looking.
Batman is a vigilante who uses fear and violence to impose order and safety. Now that's arguably entirely justified considering the dire state of Gotham City, but it's still pretty dodgy from a moral standpoint. A necessary evil, even.
That's just his methods, mind you. Sure there are versions where he's a clear cut good guy, but there's just as many where he's much more morally ambiguous. I mean the basic concept of Batman is a "hero" that (at least) ACTS like a kind of "villain". Striking terror, and all that.
