With her dominating the plot now, one's gotta wonder where they plan to go with her. She's too OP to beat and it's unlikely she has some deep Freudian motivation behind doing it for the lulz. Also she just wants to strip mine planets for their magma, so her successfully taking over the galaxy and nothing of importance to Wander's changing is unlikely.

I don't know if the direction they went with her is a good idea, with Hater falling in love and trying to win her heart - one it feels like a step down from what role she had before and two...I liked how she could make plot more serious, how Wander didn't knew how to tackle her and how Hater suddenly got competence boosts when facing her.
BTW, how long until we get Emperor Awesome trying to hit on Dominator? They could make fun episode with him trying to keep his rep of ladies man by hitting on her...except he is actually scared shitless of her but refuses to admit it.

I hope at least for the origin. Or explanation why did she even bother with the armor and pretending to be a guy, since after Battle Royale it's clear people knowing she's a woman doesn't bother her at all. I'd accept even "it just looks cool", but give us something.

I will by lying if I said the idea of WOY ending like this would be okay with me.
However, I would also be lying if I said there was no potential for this. This is unknown territory we are entering in as a WOY community, with Dominator taking over and more or less kicking around the top spot for at the very least till the 3rd 22 minute episode. We REALLY, even if the rest don't want to admit it, have to let things play out first. Like McCraig said about "The Matchmaker", "the road to ruin is paved with good intention". They have some idea that this makes us uncomfortable, but are still letting it play it out in the end. The road IS ruin, but it needs to be to get somewhere good.
TLDR: Edges cut edges like meme related.

I don't care for the romance aspect that much, but I would have tolerated it better if Dominator wasn't such a shit character.

I don't hate her, I just think she isn't very well developed at the moment. I don't like the whole "Pretty lady" thing going on with Hater, but I don't think that will last too much longer. I did think that the 2 most recent episodes were great though, they were both really good episodes with great jokes.

It's a little irritating seeing two main characters act like such assholes due to this chatacterless prop, though, especially when the narrative practically supports what they do. Binge watched the whole show in like the last day or two so maybe that affects my perception.
I'm not quite getting the dislike for Dominator but whatever, I can agree having more songs on the semi/regular would be nice.
Can't say I'm fondest of Wander when his episodes focus on him not fucking taking a hint, and so this running theme of him trying to play matchmaker isn't doing a whole lot for me.
But still, humor of the show seems to be holding tight, I enjoy the sort of intensification or increased focus of Hater's childishness (but would always be happy to see him go angry electric skeleton man), and so on in short, liking what I've seen.
Maybe I preferred when Dominator had her aura of mystique, but hey, its early enough in the game that I think we'd all be best served watching further and not jumping to conclusions.

Eh, I just presently tend to look at it in a sense that he's degrading, not in an out of universe writing sense, but that with his consistent foiling by Wander crumbling his holdings and otherwise generally driving him insane, the veneer of competency he managed to build up before the start of the series has been peeled away, leaving mostly childish, immature Hater with occasional flashes of badass-ness, instead of more or less the opposite. I don't pretend to know where they're going with him, though.

Maybe? I don't even know. Refer back to when Wander first "tours" Hater's ship. Now obviously to us he's foiling Peepers and such, but at that point he's really putting on a poor show of being a "guest" at least compared to his devotion to courtesy in most other situations. I tend to just ignore the earlier episodes because I don't think they had a clear handle on the characters at that point. For example, compare how legit cruel and indifferent Hater was towards Peepers in The Prisoner to how he is now (somehow they played tennis and swam in bone piles in their past as "The Axe" shows, despite Hater treating him like a subordinate he has no relationship with in the earlier episodes), and it seems clear that they decided to drastically alter his character along the way. I don't think it's exactly fair to compare first episodes Wander to the current one.

This is why I think the romance story line is very weak, because it just plain doesn't make sense for Wander to be acting this way at this point. The guy outright says he doesn't force people into taking a certain path, yet here he is actively forcing Dominator, a woman he knows nothing about and whose feelings he seems to be disregarding altogether, into falling for Hater. Plus the ramifications Sylvia mentioned are worth considering, yet it goes over his head. And he also caused many people to die (and also brushed off the obviously depressed Something the So and So) without giving a single shit. It's like they're dumbing down his character in a poor attempt to have this plotline exist.

And whenever that's a point of focus in a particular episode it usually gets resolved in the same episode and he ends up learning a lesson. This feels like pre The Void-era Wander doing this, which doesn't make any sense. Plus dragging it out like this for who knows how many episodes is just too much. What were they thinking making the point of "The Matchmaker" be about Sylvia trusting Wander, when he's clearly in the wrong? Is this the writers' way of saying we should be endorsing Wander's actions?

Well the point would be they both get dumped by their partners, so that would be a wake up call.
Then they're both kinda shitty and down on their luck about it, and go through a wacky redemption arc together. It could be a good chance to put them in new situations and hopefully adjust their characters to not be super annoying.
Also we would probably get Sylvia and Peepers teaming up to get them back eventually.

I think this is one of the things that bothers me about this plot, I had no problem with Hater getting distracted by Wander because Wander is a fully fleshed out character with a clear motive. But, as it is, Dom's just some flat plot device with tits who feels like a blatant attempt at baiting both SJW's and people who only watch shows for waifus, so him going full retard over her is irritating. Add to the fact that Hater was actually moving up the villain ladder and was full blown badass in Battle Royale, and it just feels like a slap in the face.
Anyone else hoping for some Dom x Peepers after they both seemed pretty over Hater's antics?

I don't understand how anyone who's watched past the first 10 or so episodes can say this. I think he's a Mabel-esque character done right, in that he's chipper yet not naive or moronic, he's just legitimately mentally unbalanced (if you had OCD, much like he canonically does, you'd understand) and has an impulsive need to help others because he has experienced helplessness before. His methods of annoying Hater also make sense because he's used these same methods on other villains before, and it worked. He wants Hater to hate him above all else, so that when he does finally like him, he'll realize there's no point in hating anything. It's not like he's Jerry or Bugs, who are just smug assholes who never get any comeuppance, he genuinely means well and tends to fall victim to slapstick abuse himself. Not to mention his backstory is intriguing as fuck.
I can't defend how he's behaving post the Battle Royale though, but that's just straight up bad writing.

I like this show and as someone who's completely neutral / new about it / not doing weird shipping shit I have to agree with the sentiment about Dominator.
I gave her the benefit of the doubt when she was introduced but they have done really nothing meaningful with her aside of having Hater and Wander go out of their way to make her important. She really offers nothing aside of being sexy and the fact she's the absolute #1 doesn't even qualify her as a challenge.
I was kind of bummed about Sylvia in the letter episode, she was the real victim of bad writing.
I find it strange that people can already be sick of Dominator when we're only just getting to seeing her interact with the characters.
But then I haven't been following all the fan stuff that's been filling in during all the hiatuses.

I'm really, really excited for Hater to eventually realize Dominator is using him and to totally kick her ass somehow.
On the other hand, the inevitability of Dominator being used solely as a big bad guy is extremely painful to watch. I'm more than welcoming of Dominator being an intimidating villain; the thing is, there are two major flaws that make her uninteresting. For starters, both Hater and Wander don't fear her in the slightest; she doesn't even seem to be very feared by others. Her lava robot things were just casually patrolling the train station area, and nobody even cared. Secondly, she doesn't have any personality flaws at all. At most, she's a little bubbly, but the combination of being able to outsmart and/or outgun anyone in the universe with no insecurities or flaws in any way, shape, or form, just makes her a boring character. I bet the way that they beat her is going to be something retarded too, since they mentioned she has a sweet tooth, she's probably gonna get tricked by wander giving her candy or something.

A lot of Tumblr, a big source of the fandom, got mad that their Wander/Hater ship is now un-canon even though Wander and Hater've been attracted to women before.
Some people got mad because Dominator going with Hater's crush to win the ring hurts feminism somehow.
Some people just want her to do something besides win, which was always a risk with this kind of character.

I know it's mostly just me wanting what I think should happen to happen, but it really annoys me that Dominator abuses the fact that nobody takes her seriously as a female to get what she wants. I mean, if she clearly has no problem whatsoever with people knowing she's a girl, why does she hide her face and use a voice changer? I get that the big bulky armor is probably for protection, but that doesn't explain the voice changer.
Not to mention that her personality is really just way too fucking generic-evil-female-villain. Literally every other villain on the show, even the ones that don't have an entire episode centered around them (let alone multiple ones) are more interesting than she is.
The worst part is, I love her design, she really is cute, but her actual personality is extremely unlikable.

By the whole deposed Ruler prison party, it's established the Wander and Sylvia break into Hater's ship just for a place to crash for a night. Neither are particularly confident about getting captured by Dominator again.
Plus when Dominator took the ring, all of the other villains were bowing down to her.
Peepers considers her a serious enough threat to take action like developing the freezing bomb, while he generally just begs Hater to ignore Wander.
I definitely don't see a major lack of respect for her power.

The galaxy is probably used to being conquered by one villain or another, what with all the vying for position on the leaderboard they've had to put up with.
They've shown surprisingly little of her rampage of conquest and destruction, but equally nothing to show it's been suddenly undermined by the reveal in Royale.

I think the only backstory they'll never fully delve into is Wander's because Craig says he likes everyone's theories too much. They're gonna drop more hints this season and show other Zbornaks, so that might explain Sylvia more. They're waiting till season 3 to explain Hater.
