Good evening owls of /co/,
I don't think we can top last night's Giffen issue, but we can keep going anyways
>>77399171
what's good today?
I nearly cried laughing at the first spread in Airboy, I admit
>>77399171
wow speak of the devil, here comes the space nazis
>>77399315
"I hate space Nazis!"
that one Space: Punisher page never gets old
>>77399223
GL Darkseid War tie in didn't disappoint
Those 22 pages were pretty much better written and had better art than all of Venditti's run so far.
The Shazam tie in was pretty good too.
Starfire had the best issue yet. Less of her being dumb and more of her being badass. Alsosurprise Dick!
Twilight Children and Slash & Burn were good too.
Haven't read any Marvel stuff yet.
>>77399223
>what's good today?
Green Lantern one shot was so perfect I want to die
JLU was great, I'm bummed it's almost over
Shazam was pretty cool too
>>77399223
Justice League United and Twilight Children
>>77399171
Hello Storyteller.
>wannabe Space Hitler
Yeah, we had to deal with these fucks eventually.
>>77399355
I haven't read the GL yet, I'm saving it
JLU was wonderful, though. Stargirl carrying von Hammer is like everything I never knew I wanted
>>77399431
well hello Mon-El
>>77399431
Courtney catching him was perfect
I want them to be BFFs forever
>>77399431
I loved that Robotman enjoyed the whole thing
>>77399447
JLU relaunch must happen
I need more cuteness and teamups
>>77399497
All the personalities were delightful
>>77399561
delicious Brin
teamup with Guy when
>>77399549
A Parker unused is a Parker wasted. :(
TT was a hot mess, RIP Catwoman, based Orlando sneaking Russian shit into everything,
>>77399583
so how about the new Marvel books, how are they?
I kind of read Spider-Gwen, but it's really boring and none of the new costumes pop like hers
>>77399607
Waidvengers was okay (Rich Avengers is still the best Avengers book), Laura had insufficient NAAAAARGH and she's perky Laura. Low bueno.
>>77399561
They were! Plus Parker managed to take Sgt. Rock and Easy Company, the Creature Commandos, Vandal Savage, Batgirl/Robotman/Steel, Stargirl, Enemy Ace, and OMAC, team them up, managed to not make it feel overcrowded at all, gave everybody something to do, AND IT WAS ONLY THREE ISSUES
No padding, no decompression, no giving all the attention to one character per issue, it was beautiful
>>77399603
>based Orlando sneaking Russian shit into everything
I really enjoy Billy's new pantheon and I hope they stick around a while
>>77399223
B&RE had an issue that was almost good had Tynion not fucked up one page and if he had a lot more subtly.
Dick as Robin is so cute that I need a mini or something about him. He needs more Robin shit.
>>77399561
It's because racist idiots often find good company only in each other, Shikari.
>>77399583
The monotonous slogans are pretty damned obnoxious, yes.
>>77399674
and Secret Wars is, like, metafictionally bad. Anti-Life.
>>77399682
I busted up at the "I looked it up!" editor's notes.
>>77399682
Parker is the writer that a team book needs.
Lemire needs to take lessons from him.
>>77399638
>Mon finally getting rid of that godawful starfield suit
Good.
>>77399716
There are books where amazing cool shit happens off page and it's fine, but they are "Book of the Long Sun", not a comics event.
Shazam one shot > GL come @ me
>>77399607
Waidvengers was fine with an amazing adorable back up with Kamala and Sam
I'm enjoying Secret Wars still but delays ruined it
>>77399674
Holy shit, the Credo are even bigger retards than I thought. The fucking Maverick Hunters from Mega Man X weren't this crazy, and they were lead by fucking Sigma.
>>77399734
>Lemire needs to take lessons from him.
EVERYBODY touching a team book needs to take a lesson from him
>>77399769
Carnage-Man was too good for this world, wasn't he

>Wrote two random LOSH fanfictions
>Can't write LOSH porn unless I'm drinking
>Hal Jordan a qt
>Writing my own superhero series
>>77399789
>Shazam one shot > GL come @ me
Billy came off as too caustic without it coming from a situational standpoint
>>77399830
>>77399789
Secret Wars makes me a very particular kind of mad, like the "You have talent and I know you know how to pace a story and dole out the cool shit, ergo you must be doing this wan facsimile on purpose"
>>77399789
The Kamala/Sam thing was way forced untilhe took off hit helmet and Kamala went full-tsunbecause she's the mature one in the equation
Waid's Kamala is basically alright.
>>77399789
>Shazam one shot > GL come @ me
ok but you're wrong
>>77399223
What the flob Garth can come back his hair even though it's crystal?
>>77399223
I caught a rabbit after chasing it all around the yard yesterday. I turned it in to the shelter in case somebody lost it, but if nobody claims in five days it's mine.
>>77399846
I like salty Billy and I like the/ss/ potential
>>77399789
>Shazam one shot > GL come @ me
Anon no
I do not agree with you anon
>>77399889
well, now we know it's flexible crystal
...heh heh heh, bueno
>>77399913
Like a pet bunny, not an eating-type bunny
>>77399916
I like rough around the edges Billy.
But Orlando...did not have a good handle on that.
>>77399889
I think he just looks crystal, his body mostly behaves normally except for the not sleeping thing.
>>77399866
The best part of Secret Wars was all of the Hulks jumping out of the warship and looking oddly cuddly
HUG THE HULKS OP
...but we finally get to the Wars of Secret Wars and it's boring.
>>77399933
It was definitely somebody's pet once, wild rabbits don't eat out of your hand.
>>77399964
but seriously, there's a bit about Nazi uniforms in today's Airboy that was sick and wrong but totally right
>>77399899
If he was the real Progenitor, you'd be dead in a heartbeat moron...
>>77399866
>>77399882
>>77399899
Singularity is such a meathead.
>>77399983
Mastreo having Mammoth skulls on his helicarrier was hilarious to me.
Also the payoff to T'challa being king of the dead was amazing
>>77399947
I understand it was a bit much, but I'd take him like that. (Let's say I'd consider OG Billy to be 5% salt, and Curse Billy to be like ~50%, I'm okay with Orlando's 70%. Slightly less makes Billy the most enjoyable to me.)
>>77400003
what a cock
>>77399933
>Don't worry, he probably won't kill me
>He probably has a fate much worse than death prepared for me!
Garth, that is not comforting.
>>77400040
The best part of the payoff was Zombie MODOK getting brained by Namor.
But damn...they looked so fluffy.
Damn you Ribic!
>>77400062
also new Hawkeye is out and I saw some people really down on it but they didn't say why?
>>77400062
One flesh, one bone
One true religion
One voice, one hope
One real decision
>>77400003
>but seriously, there's a bit about Nazi uniforms in today's Airboy that was sick and wrong but totally right
Is it that that they were Hugo Boss' best work, look totally FABULOUS, and despite the association are nigh impossible to resist? Nazis ruined fashion, armbands are dead forever.
>>77400086
>Andromeda not in her space nun outfit
I don't know why this bugs me so much but it does.
>>77399882
>ONE of your dudes controlled the galaxy for billions of years
>better go try to rough you all up
>>77400127
>Is it that that they were Hugo Boss' best work
yes
here, have the page, it's a riot
>>77400127
Unless you're Japanese and on a student council.
>>77400086
This makes me curious.
Haven't read it yet either. Is it more serious than Fraction Hawkeye?
>>77399933
>>77399967
>Comb not come
Nass.wait so that means his dick isn't diamonds?
>>77399223
Well GL Darkseid War Tie in was good.
I actually enjoyed Waidvengers too, though I'm not too fond of the art
And starfire had a page nicely drawn Dick.
>>77400044
Technically speaking, since the Progenitor created all life in your galaxy, yourself included,if you're REALLY intent on erasing all traces of him,you should commit suicide.
>>77400207
>>77400216
I don't know, I wasn't reading it before the relaunch either
lemme see if I can find the thread
>>77400219
well its more like graphite when its soft but it can become diamonds im guessing
>>77400216
Yeah, I'm curious too now.
I haven't read any Lemire Hawkeye yet, but I know people had problems with an apparently extremely occ thing with Clint
>>77400219
I guess it's shiny like a diamond. I dunno, maybe he feels odd to the touch?
>>77400281His dick is probably breakable now.
>>77400057
That sounds like a really bad fanfiction.
>>77400127
>armbands are dead forever
They even got rid of Sinestro's armband!
>>77400263
here we go
https://twitter.com/FemmesinFridges/status/664592137560920064
(yes, I know, but it lays out reasons)
>>77400300
I'm not at all read in Clint in general, but a lot of people hated Fraction Clint's personality, and it seems here to stay thanks to that book
>>77400281
>>77400307
>>77400308
I'm going to write this. It will be horrible but I'm going to do it.
>>77400086
>also new Hawkeye is out and I saw some people really down on it but they didn't say why?
Is there a storytime? I tried searching on the catalog and the archives for "hawkeye" and didn't find anything.
>>77400349
I also admit that nothing on earth has made me give a shit about Kate Bishop, so that's out there too
>>77400349
I wanna know where their idea of Clint came from. Like I've read a lot of avengers comics, dudes always been a little bit of a dick/dumbass
>>77400349
Sound like she's not happy that Kate's character progression hasn't actually progressed and that she comes off kinda bad in the issue?
I don't like Kate much so I don't pay attention to what they do with it, I doubt bad characterization of her would bother me
>>77400176
Figured as much. SS uniforms indeed look fucking cool. Shame about who most infamously wore them though. Again, Nazis ruined fashion.
>>77400251
That's like trying to tell a KKK Grand Wizard(pffft) that so called "racial purity" is physically impossible. Like talking to a wall, anon.
>>77400399
When did Kinetix relearn how to talk in complete sentences?
>>77400399
>>77400397
I don't think so, storytimes have been sporadic today
Gillen wrote the Very Goth Adventures of Morrigan and her Boy Toy today, and it leads me to believe that it's not that there ARE whatever many gods incarnated, but that crazy evil Ananke can make people into a mostly appropriate god
>>77400399
I enjoyed Fraction's Hawkeye, but can totally understand why people would be put off by it and it is very overhyped.
I think with the Lemire thing, it was a specific incident they had a problem with not his overall characterisationsomething about Clint allowing child soldiers iirc?
>>77400443
YES YES YES
>>77400435
just now
>>77400426
It's not that he's a dick in Fraction, it's that he's a near-total incompetent, IIRC
>>77400443
Graham's issue is next month right?
>>77400476
yeah, and it's Sekhmet, whose personality to date has been "oversexed"
>>77400426
Clint was typically the competent but brash loudmouth who was a little but of a dick and would call people on their shit, think Ollie but less political and slightly less opinionated
Fraction Clint was mostly an incompetent loser who sucked at life and was a total chump and Kate would usually be better at him than everything
>>77400473
>>77400443
>>77400497
I love the little Legion spy squad.
>>77400473

>>77400497
anyone read Illuminati? All-New NAAARGHette?
>>77400561
Yeah, I said my peace about Laura. Her voice is off and shit doesn't have a direction. It's pure gimmick.
>>77400473
Hell yes! And this is why the Legion of Super-Heroes is so great. Never alone, these twerps.
>>77400497
>Espionage Squad
Excellent. Been a little while since the ES has done a thing.
>>77400561
delicious Legion teamwork
>>77400538
The degree of Kate being better at shit got kind of old
also the romantic plots were...
Stayed around waiting for the Nintendo direct and found out that it's going to be another 24 hours so I'm here. Watching older teens be teens.
>>77400588
8 issues at most, or sell on the name?
SO: first ANAD book to get cancelled, put in your bets here
>>77400588
I feel like if they'd had an actual idea for Bubbette they'd have turned her into Wolverine at the end of Death of Wolverine or during Wolverines and gone from there, doing it over a year after the fact just feels like throwing shit at a wall

Moon Girl
Gamora will be cancelled before it ever comes out
Karnak will drop like a rock when Ellis leaves after six issues
I'm sure there's some more I'm forgetting that are so forgettable they'll probably end at 6-8 issues
I can see Laura being Snikette for 12-20 issues and then they end that book and relaunch it with Logan alive

Only so the idea doesn't get stale and Marvel doesn't hijack King. Only reasons I want it to get axed.
>>77400747
except that his powers go a bit haywire if he's making the sex
>>77400538
I feel like a big part of that is the "when he's not being an avenger" part of the book. It's very much him not at his A level.
I love Kate and don't get the hate.
>>77400759
>I'm sure there's some more I'm forgetting that are so forgettable they'll probably end at 6-8 issues
oh like Black Knight, that's not lasting past 8 issues
>>77400772
If King ever signs a Marvel exclusive I might actually cry
>>77400759
Oh true, the Weisman book is doomed for sure
They kept Moon Knight going after Ellis, but that's a less niche idea than a fucking Karnak book, to be fair
>>77400789
>I love Kate and don't get the hate.
I don't hate her, I just don't care about her in the slightest
Her personality/background in her YA intro was basically "I'm rich and bored" and I've never found her particularly compelling or fun
>>77400769
It's totally your prerogative to only care about Metroid, but that's setting yourself up for disappointment. I'm game for some 3DS hype.
>>77400769

>>77400858
lol, these mooks aren't into glorious death
>>77400637
Honestly Marvel is going to stealth cancel at least six of them in one go once the last of the ANAD books get their first issue in February or something.
Gamora and Blade will be cancelled before they came out.
Vision because it's good and King isn't allowed good things.
Karnak because Ellis can only get out six issues.
Moon Girl unless it does great digitally.
>>77400886
Cowardly bigots. It fits.

Eh, just kinda losing interest in video games altogether, since nothing really appeals to me anymore. Exploration stuff is limited to indie crap now, collect-a-thon genre's dead, there hasn't been a decent platformer outside of Mario in forever, Sonic hasn't been good in ages...
>>77400870

>>77401249
They should be happy that Jason and Tim both have punched Dick.
Now Dick needs a little something.
>>77401297
Batfanon is so weird but so fascinating. Like, where did it come from, why does it take the forms that it does, etc.
>>77401281
Wh does DC hate the Legion so damn much.
>>77401116
Is it bad that I'm actually excited to when you get to nu52 Legion? I know it's pain, but I don't really know much about it, so I'm curious.
>>77401329
shitty sales? damaging nostalgia much like how TT has been a shitty book forever?
>>77401315
I think the batfanon that confuses me the most is Tim as a raging, sexually voracious slut
Did it start off ironically and people just thought it was sexy? He practically comes off as asexual in comics, why is he a kinky little minx in dirty fanfics
>>77401233
Oh hell no, is that Monarch?
It's sad how DC keeps trying to make Monarch a thing. Look people, you had a decent idea for an event, but you fucked it up. Let it go already.
>>77400945
>>77400958
>>77400967
this is why I hope he signs with Marvel
>>77401355
like, none of the Team Titans or The Titans runs are good either, are they? I've managed to block out most of the one I ran for Jesse, NGL, except for that Tom Peyer drugs issue
>>77401355
Speaking of shitty sales and TT, I know it's wrong of me to be happy that Titans Hunt #1 sold like 34k, but damn I hope this means DC will stop shoving the NTT era of Titans together.
>>77401277
That actually made me more upset, since a lot of Threeboot's problem was that it didn't really get to do much before it got replaced with a retread.
i want to say we should make a mega of all the comics to help spread it around but damn i dont even know where to download them all
>>77401315
>Like, where did it come from, why does it take the forms that it does, etc.
It's basically because it's the biggest comics fandom and it's hard for newbies to figure out what's good, what to read and all that. So many either don't, or have only read stuff like TDKR and Hush.
So its easier to go off the fanon that you see posted all the time than the canon, until the fanon becomes it's own entity.
It's why Jason is so popular with fangirls despite being written like shit
>>77401383
it's not nice to come into a thread like this and bait us with the removal of our nice things, anon. We're pretty battered fans after E2.
>>77401387
>I hope this means DC will stop shoving the NTT era of Titans together.
They won't stop doing that until fans stop whining for it, which they never will until something better comes along (which it never will because TT will always be a nostalgia trap)
it's a vicious cycle
>>77401233
You'd think a guy named Champagne would be able to write classier stuff.
>>77401364
>why is he a kinky little minx in dirty fanfics
Pretty sure this is a general "uke" thing, not specific to Tim.
The first 13 issues of Threeboot is maybe my favorite Legion story. I had no idea people didn't like it. Well didn't like the Waid and I think Bedard took over for a little? runs
>>77401355
>TT
At least TT has TT go and merch. And probably Legos. And maybe a movie. Trying to find Legion merchandise is like trying to find gold in real life.
>>77401392
>It didn't do much
That's one problem. Another problem could be the fact that it was all over the place too.I just wanted Thom with a beard again.
>>77401384
Team Titans was in the 90s right? Never read it but I wouldn't be surprised if it were shit.
But yes both Titans books, 1999 and 2008, were both pretty bad overall. Grayson's run at the beginning of the 1999 one would've been pretty good if everyone weren't an asshole.
>>77401384
There hasn't been a terribly good TT run in...forever. YJ is still the last best TT run. Harbinger is probably the next-best after YJ and that's freaking Valiant.
>>77401116
Honestly? Not sure why this needed to be rebooted anyway. It's not like an end-of-5YL situation where between all of the misery and the two sets of Legionnaires running around it kind of needed to be put down for its own good.
>>77401297
>>77401329
I'm not even a fan of the LEGO games, but even I can see that the Legion is perfect for one. An absolutely absurd amount of characters is what those games are best at. It's like peanut butter and chocolate. Come on.
>>77401329
Same reason they hate all their other properties. Let's face it, it's because they don't make Batman money.
>>77401355
Lack of crossover potential? The old "everyone gets scared because they there's too many characters"?
>>77401411
I've been in these threads forever tho
and honestly it's more a reaction to the rest of /co/'s worship of the guy's DC work
>>77401398
I got 75% of them including Smallville episodes/Cartoon episodes/LOSH century comic/L.E.G.I.O.N and both R.E.B.E.L.S. I do not have Silver age/Original recipe or Flashpoint/Nu52. If you know where to get that I can make a mega or a torrent of all of them.

Why would you do that to yourself, storyteller?
>>77401433
yeah, that's really it
I'm a very rusty aikido practitioner, but the person who's thrown in technique (which is how you learn the most, btw) is the uke, so that always makes me giggle a bit
>>77401451
>Not sure why this needed to be rebooted anyway
Yeah there was nothing horribly fucked up or unsalvageable about reboot at this point, I'm not sure why they scrapped it
Had sales gotten really bad? Was the call of nostalgia too much?
>>77401329
Illusion of massive continuity, massive cast, sci-fi space epics, rabid fanbase.
I'd totally read Damien running around with the Legion tho
>>77401470
Let us have our honeymoon, anon
>>77401478
I don't follow, I just dip in occasionally, it's a good account to figure out what people are talking about in some twitter circles
>>77401477
ill try to find them
>>77401507alien /ss/ for days
>>77401470
>and honestly it's more a reaction to the rest of /co/'s worship of the guy's DC work
his dc work is really good and DC needs all the talent they can get, why would you want him to leave
>>77401433
makes sense I suppose, it just seems weird running into those tropes in comics fandom (although I guess the batfam fandom is big enough that there's plenty of overlap)
>>77401384
>Holy sprock, who gives a flying squaj?
Tasmia is her usual cheery self.
>>77401489
Sales for this issue were about 24K. Which isn't great but is pretty steady with the entire run, and is better than any issue of, say, Legion Lost.
>>77401420
Yeah that's the funny thing.
If DC had just chugged along without Titans Hunt, they could have easily done a team book with like half NTT era members and half random DC characters.
Bam there are friendships back and a name that's not cursed so maybe the book would've been good.
Maybe then people would've shut up since the main complaint seems to be MUH FRIENDSHIPS
>>77401515
Lyle's face
that fucking face
SO MUCH TENTACLE
>>77401470
>and honestly it's more a reaction to the rest of /co/'s worship of the guy's DC work
Pls don't do that .
Good Dick and good DC cosmic that's not Green Lantern is hard to come by.
>>77401485
I'm in the kind of place where it's not uncommon for people to refer to ukuleles as "ukes" and have I <3 UKES bumper stickers.
>>77401451
>>77401489
I heard a rumor but it might not be true. The rumor is that the new writers/staff did not want to deal with Reboot Legion's pathor the gay implicationsso they just nuked it using the poor sales as an excuse instead of trying to fix it.
>>77401549
>>77401572
lolololol
And now I'm thinking about yaoi paddles
>>77401572
Oh god, I'm glad I wasn't the only one.
>>77401489
>Was the call of nostalgia too much?
That was Threeboots cause of death.
>>77401570
good Green Lantern isn't easy to come by these days either, I am going to treasure the DW one shot for years to come
>>77401584
And now Legion has the rep as "that shit that reboots all the time".
>>77401572
>>77401549
My sprocking sides.
>>77401532
/co/ acts like he's their own pet writer cause he's done good stuff and it dehumanizes him and is creepy
if he did sign with marvel it's not like they tricked him or something.also the undercurrent of marvel hate that just happened to pop up when their books diversified is a factor that bugs me.
>>77401598
I too will treasure baby Hal for years to come
>>77401578
This run is hetero as fuck, tho. Like, aside from the smooch, this ain't half as homoerotic as its contemporary comics.
The trajectory got a little weird after LeLo, though. That, I can emphasize with.
>>77401515
Oh shit, Tellus!
Right?
>>77401451
>>77401489
Who knows? Editorial is a bunch of monkeys.
>>77401625
I generally dislike Marvel's current direction but it's not remotely because of diversification, it's the movieshit everywhere and the endless relaunches
>>77401655
>it's the movieshit everywhere
Star lord's book is gonna be painful
>>77401519
I'll post a screenshot of what I have later but offhand I have LOSH v.1 1-16 then it goes off to Disco Legion I think? I do know I have all of Reboot/Threeboot with nothing missing (I think.)
>>77401671
I was honestly excited for Hickmanvengers when it was announced, but it's been a grinding and painful run.
>>77401625
I just like DC more than Marvel and I would prefer if he kept working on properties that I actually like
I do realize he is a person with his own hopes and dreams anon, Marvel's not holding a gun to his head or anything I'd just be disappointed because I don't care about Captain America or whatever people want him to write at Marvel
>>77401636
Baby Hal is too cute, and the scenes with him were all heartwrenching ;_;
>>77401655
I didn't mean to imply there aren't legit complaints, i was talking about the general state of /co/
>>77401549
Man, he looks more like he should be smoking and reflecting on the nature of his ennui than fighting.
>>77401690
Same, it sounded pretty awesome when it was announced but it's been such a joyless drag
>>77401694
Last decade when Quesada went on his "single Spider-Man,and No more mutants" crusade,is when Marvel lost a lot of my money.
>>77401731
well that's a fucking downer, why would you write that?
>>77401644
I know right? It's only a rumor though. I'm not sure why they decided to nuke Reboot. I'm slightly bias with Threeboot (because it came out due to Reboot being nuked) but there are some good things with Threeboot.Thom with no beard is not one of them.
>>77401625
Their books are insufficiently diverse and seem like half-hearted gimmicks in most cases. I'm not going to support SG when I can't laugh at it, I'm not going to be all over Bubbette just because it's somehow mandatory.
I approve of Mighty and New, but otherwise, mostly blah.
>>77401648
Yup, it's Tellus! Or at least someone of his species.
>>77401758
he could've grown one eventually. at least it was an attempt to make the Legion less white
>>77401749
I think just before the first NOW launch is when I dropped most of what I was reading, they cancelled all the books I was picking up and then the new launches were mostly mediocre and a bunch of them got hit by crossovers and tie ins less than five issues in so I said fuck it, there is literally no reason not to trade wait Marvel books
I did get Vision #1 though, haven't had time to read it yet but it sounds good
>>77401757
That's kinda 5yl, "depressing for depressions sake"...
>>77401771
and now Nura gets in on the kink
>>77401731
>Shik and Wildfire shipping.
Mmmmm.
>>77401820
is that Adam Hughes? d-d-damn
>>77401820
>Simone/Jurgens
what a random team
>>77401840
so, how about that Liefeld/Chris Sims Deadpool book
>>77401821
I have to admit I think I do like Shikari more than Dawny
qt bug girl > inbred Injun stereotype
>>77401871
It's this close to LIEFELD SINGLE CREDIT.
You know what happens when you Liefeld single credit? You get Deathstroke.
>>77401871
Deadpool has like 8 things coming out
>>77401796
I didn't mind that but I wanted a dark chocolate with a beard dammit.I'm salty also because no dark chocolate with Dreamy either.
>>77401757
>Make him hot as hell
>He's dying
Why would you do that!
>>77401871
>Liefeld/Chris Sims
I can't think of two names I'd rather read less, together or separately
>>77401820
>Simone
Simone Legion? Interesting.
>>77401796
Yeah, it's always been a tad silly that so many of these kids(most from different planets mind you)are clearly white, when logically they really shouldn't be. It's slightly mitigated with the more obviously alien Legionnaires, but still.
>>77401853
>Look, we're cancelling this in like 5 issues, everyone draw straws!
>>77401871
Marvel is really trying to prepare for his upcoming movie, I see.
An OGN and like two or three minis.
>>77401757
This chapter made me sad.Is Reboot Brainy the ultimate fuccboi or something because he's pretty in almost every single issue.
>>77401908
I like how the cartoon made them alien like.
>>77401880
also more mentions in Uncanny of Reed being ded
this makes me unhappy even though I know he and Sue are probably not ded
>>77401871
I'm actually super pumped for it
Liefeld loves comics SO MUCH it's infectious. Goofy deadpool side thing is a great place for him
>>77401893
>You see this glorious golden ass?
>WELL YOU CAN'T HAVE IT
>>77401875
I ship both but I'm liking Shikari and Wildfire a lot more now after this run.
>>77401942
Today, I talked to someone who legit thought Wolverine would stay dead. They're not even a noob, they've been in this for years.
>>77401942
I kind of wait them to be dead
Better that than be used to keep a book with Inhumans or something afloat
>>77401975
hahahaha
wat
>>77401977
True, dead=in limbo
>>77401997
I just wanted an Invisible Woman solo
>>77401875
Same, honestly. If Shakari replaced Dawny, or Dawny started acting like Shikari, I wouldn't complain.
Besides, more alien Legionnaires are always welcome.
>>77401977
Also if they're dead they may be treated with more dignity.
>>77401951
I feel like you've never read Liefeld as a writer, his Deadpool is a serious, no-fun, zero-homo Deathstroke. He also gets pissy when his characters get homoerotic.
People who are expecting fun, or good jokes, I envy their innocence. We have good DP writers alive today, he's just not one of them.
>>77401975
You serious?
>>77402010
also seriously Cable in UA, really
at least it has bitchy Quicksilver
who's bitchier, Pietro or Jean-Paul?
>>77402015
Being dead in big two comics is like getting a free pass to the dick sucking buffet
When they inevitably kill Cyclops a few events from now his fans will weep with relief because they'll have to finally stop shitting on him endlessly in comics
>>77401975
That person must've never read any comic. Ever.
>>77402028
They were dead serious until I reminded them marketing was a thing, and Cap didn't even stay dead two years WITH a good plot keeping him dead until it ran its course.
it just occurred to me, did anyone explain how Old Man Logan didn't age for ~200 years but then aged normally in like 50?
>>77402019
He's not writing it though? and if it sucks whatever, drop in the bucket
>>77402042
Jean-Paul is bitchier, Quicksilver is just more of an ass.
>>77402010
Considering they've been giving books to any woman who's remotely marketable I'm surprised they haven't tried giving Sue one
actually I take that back, I'm not surprised at all
>>77402061
"No one stays dead in comics except for Bucky."
"Bucky's alive?"
>>77402042
JP should be the goddamn king of Marvel bitches, but he's gotten hit with the minority sanitization stick more recently.
>>77402042
Are you saying they're different people? Because nobody's seen them in the same room, have they?
>>77402083
oh, one of these sorts of villains
>>77402082
If they want a comic about a superhero mom so bad, instead of fucking Jess of all people, Sue would've been the one to go to.
>>77401931
>I like how the cartoon made them alien like.
I think the most noticeable in that regard is Imra with her psychic bug-eyes. The artstyle was eh, but I did enjoy her looking weird that way.
>>77401951
Rob Liefeld makes up for his boundless enthusiasm with a frankly depressing lack of talent.

Simone writes a decent Legion so far. Not sure I'd want her on an ongoing, though. If she ever gets the old magic back, then certainly.
>>77402526
The Movement was fucking horrible, though
>>77402342
>wanna know how I got these implants?
>>77402526
I wouldn't mind her going ham on an Atom-style refresh of a character who hasn't shown up yet. The climate for that kind of shit isn't there at all, but she's so much fun when she gets to go off the rails.
>>77402557
Secret Six is alright
I really want to know how they are going to handle an insane Brainiac.
>>77402581
>You went through the Fires of Creation, I was there too.
I love a nutty Brainy. Always wanted to see him crack and go on the deep end as a major villain in any other boot. It never happened though except in Original. Then they retcon that.
>>77402587
yeah, but Movement was kind of a teen book against The Man, which Legion could also be, and it was sooo bad

>>77403772

>>77403760
Code is picture related. People been bitching on/a/ and /v/about how it's a scam and shilling and it doesn't work but I don't care. It worked for me and I'm getting two Legion cases to go along with my Masayoshi Hazama phone charm.
>>77404068
If that code doesn't work let me know so I can go to other boards and find more. As far as I know it works until December or so but I got caught up in this thread and rage reading an issue of Threeboot to test it again. I used the 99 one with the Lyle/Rokk case.

>>77405016
Unpopular opinion: I hated the show.
>>77405016
Wait the cartoon? If he's singing the cartoon one I wouldn't even notice because I didn't care for the cartoon that much.
>>77401068dawww i got misty eyed. good job dna copiel batista and co
>>77405057
:( Sorry anon. I'll lurk around and mention it in the next thread.I'll try tonight but nass I hate lurking on /v/ and /a/ for anything. I don't want to get sucked into some of the stupid threads and end up stuck there.
>>77405068
I like it, but I hate how it's seemed to breathe new life in the TT franchise.
>>77406346
It single-handedly created its own fractured fanbase. Only Deathstroke really exists in the comics as he is in the cartoon, everything else has cartoon fans with certain expectations that aren't consistent with the comics.
I mean, I guess it's technically the best NTT rehash. But I don't want to seek out and read stories about a single one of the characters.
>>77406415
I really think they should just let the Titans franchise be dead for a while.
>>77406472
It deserves it far more than the LOSH, at least!
I also think the TT cartoon manufactured some nostalgia for NTT that shouldn't even exist considering a tiny fraction of people who liked the cartoon have actually read NTT, now there's nostalgia for something they don't actually know shit about
>>77406415
>Only Deathstroke really exists in the comics as he is in the cartoon
Except not really, they just turned him into what he was like in the cartoon.
>>77406415
I did watch the show when it was first coming out but when I got into the comics a little later I was surprised at different the two were.
Jinx was a new race entirely, there were multiple Robins that weren't a carbon copy of Batmanuntil I learned and read more about Tim, Raven was less interesting, Terra wasn't supposed to be sympathetic, and Gar was pretty creepy.
Oh and everybody was really hot and angsty, and everything was sexual.
Not even getting into the other Titans stuff.
>>77406547
The Starfire Madonna/whore shenanigans are what breed my antipathy for the show. It was a viable choice for a children's cartoon, but hoooooo boy do I hate the innocent bimbo shtick that holds the comics character back.
>>77406346
>>77406415
I didn't like Starfire from the show so that's why I never got into it. Plus it created a bunch of fans if you go by the many threads of TTG and TT.
It's both sad and amusing. Sad because many people who watch TT and TTG don't even bother to read the comic book and amusing because of that reason as well.
TT needs a break more so than Legion. Legion's problem is too many reboots/writer wank.
>>77406809
>many people who watch TT and TTG don't even bother to read the comic book
Those are vastly preferable to the fans that do read the comics and flip out over DC "ruined their childhood".
>>77406876
But that's exactly what cartoon fans did, too? Starfire having sex like a normal adult is ruining their childhood and scandalizing young girls everywhere.

IMO both are equally bad. You have the cartoon fans that get mad at the comic book readers and you have the comic book fans that get mad at the cartoon viewers.
Somehow I can't fit the Sneckie/Jan picture in the iphone 5? Florg. I have to go on Taobao and do it that way.

Fug.I want to read Kingdom Come to see the Legion and Brainy's kid. I heard it's not worth it.

Aren't they only in one KC epilogue page from Johns JSA? did they show up in one of the sequels or something?
>>77408450
It's only a brief cameo, really.
>>77408468
Not sure because I never read KC before.
>Never read KC beforebecause my pa lost all of it in a crack fire.

I heard that the Silver age version shows up and you see Brainy's daughter but that's it. I'm not sure. I'm at the point that I would read almost anything Legion since it's on hiatus.

as far as I know this is the only LOSH thing related to KC, unless there are some cameos or a sequel appearance I don't know about
>>77408582
I guess that's the page. I heard there's also this green girl that shows up in like two panels called XL or XLR or something? She looks Coluan and has a modified Supergirl outfit. I keep seeing fanart of her all over the place.
What's weird is that >>77408582 looks like Reboot.
>>77409074
Yeah, but I don't remember her even having lines.
>>77409074
It sort of looks like reboot, but then you look closer and there's SW6 Dirk and Ayla, then there's Bouncing Boy, and then there's Timber Wolf straight from the 70's.
