Those 22 pages were pretty much better written and had better art than all of Venditti's run so far.
The Shazam tie in was pretty good too.
Starfire had the best issue yet. Less of her being dumb and more of her being badass. Alsosurprise Dick!

They were! Plus Parker managed to take Sgt. Rock and Easy Company, the Creature Commandos, Vandal Savage, Batgirl/Robotman/Steel, Stargirl, Enemy Ace, and OMAC, team them up, managed to not make it feel overcrowded at all, gave everybody something to do, AND IT WAS ONLY THREE ISSUES
No padding, no decompression, no giving all the attention to one character per issue, it was beautiful

It's basically because it's the biggest comics fandom and it's hard for newbies to figure out what's good, what to read and all that. So many either don't, or have only read stuff like TDKR and Hush.

I did watch the show when it was first coming out but when I got into the comics a little later I was surprised at different the two were.
Jinx was a new race entirely, there were multiple Robins that weren't a carbon copy of Batmanuntil I learned and read more about Tim, Raven was less interesting, Terra wasn't supposed to be sympathetic, and Gar was pretty creepy.
