Why is Stan Marsh a more realistic kid character than anyone from an actual kid show?
becuase in kid's shows there's this thing called BS&P that restricts just about every aspect of a show.

I think that was the idea. The past few seasons have had episodes made within 5 days, right? Imagine: CC told Matt & Trey that South Park was cancelled, but they don't advertise the finale because of the potential backlash. Because You're Getting Old part 1 was so different, ratings spike. Right before part 2 is finished, CC drops in and says "nah we were kidding," which causes the twist ending.

Actu'ly I think most o' those kids're pretty realistic. I grew up with kids whose single parent mothers'd only turn up ev'ry two or three months to collect their benefit books leaving behind five bob for the oldest t'feed the eight or twelve others on the cheapest of cheap cat food.
