Still kinda depresses me. From all the clusterfuck character developments I still felt the most sorry for this one. There were always tiny moments that cracked the "drunk sub-urban mom" facade, like her pink room or how she treated Rose's picture on the fridge. I think the coolest thing about Garnet is that she never talks in third person about Steven when he is in earshot (only when answering to Pearl and then she always includes him in the conversation). It's really a little detail that shows how much she respects him and makes her a great mom, despite not being typically motherly. Maybe it's a habit she got from being created of tiny chicks that were ignored at homeworld and now tries to make even the youngest smallest maybe feel equal.
