The story is a fucking mess. There are 5 goblins, two adventurers, a lamia they used to hang with, and none of them are the "main" character. There is no main character really. Or plot. They just... go adventuring.
Villains show up, dungeons are explored, and creatures wander around with no explanation on anything. There was an entire arc about a one winged goblin that they introduced and I honestly can't remember shit about because it shifts tone and story lines so quickly.

Sounds like you came in around the end of the Sohmer Era. Sohmer hate was huge at a time.

The last things I remember him doing were his shitty animated series of his comic and the Kickstarter to fund a video game based on Looking for Group, which failed.
He tried hosting a "Dick-a-thon" (a shitty telethon) where his staff members discussed nothing while they played the same pitch trailer every ten minutes or so. Someone pretended to pledge like 500 grand but I don't think anything else ever came of that.

I think the big reason we don't bitch about Sohmer anymore is that he hasn't done anything really new or noteworthy in a couple years. Sure, there's his comics, but those are really just shitty comics. They're offensively bad, yes, but they don't have any nuance, anything to really promote discussion.
Dobson and Diaz preach and proselytize and make asses of themselves fairly regularly, plus a lot of what they do is poorly handled attempts to mock comics that are far, far better than them.
Since Gutters ended Sohmer hasn't really been a cunt directly in out line of sight.

I think out of all the things /co/ gets bitchy about, /co/ gets bitchier about webcomics than anything else. Then again, that's probably because a. There are like A BILLION of them and b. Most of the people who write comics are obnoxiously outspoken about fucking everything and often only have webcomics so they can have another soapbox besides the usual Twitter account.
