I always felt like they really missed a huge opportunity with the time-travel, "let's save Hailey" episode.
As you might recall, Hailey is one of a set of twins. Hailey got vaccinated and her sibling did not; This was one of Stan's half-assed situations. Evidently the other kid died of a simple childhood illness, and Hailey survived.
A time-travel episode would be the perfect time to re-introduce such a character. If they fucked with the past, and gave their past-selves future-information (and it was way fucking more than is needed for the "Butterfly Effect" to take hold), they could have changed that series of events, and our Francine and Stan would end up in a tangent reality in which they had had two daughters instead of one.
