this comic has been on fire lately
Have you seen soulbrothanumbuh3's Batman Beyond Ill series?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObSZp6Q9WCU
I want more shit like this.
>>78522152
This has potential to be pretty funny
>>78522457
I found it to be funny. Imo the best episodes are 4&5 where the writing gets pretty sharp (although there are only 5 out).
His Case Closed dub stopped after 2 episodes but was also quite good.
>>78522152
It has potential, but the pace was a but too quick. Also:
>Hating on Dr. Pepper
What a faggot.
Is this movie /co/ related? It's animated but its not about talking animals or le DreamWorks face
https://youtu.be/DT6QJaS2a-U
are you retarded?
>>78522160
Rude.
>Is animation /co/ ?
duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
What would you do if you woke up one day and found your self in the Marvel 616 universe?
Make sure I was nowhere near New York City
>>78522137
This
>>78522137
This. Also avoid all "heroes" at all cost. They stand around making jokes while people are dying around them.
>Bravo Fiege
How bad is this movie gonna be?
ROB SCHNEIDER...
>normies get out
>>78521972
IS A RICH JEW
>when the show goes full nuclear
>>78521644
is this show good?
I saw the trailer and there was only one joke I smiled at
>>78521670
Show is much better than the trailer, but it's nothing revolutionary. I rate it a 7/10.
>>78521695
what show is it?
Just finished avatar and it was good but what the hell was pic related? It just came out of nowhere for plot reasons and played a key role in beating the fire lord. Were lion turtles established at any point or did i miss something?
>>78521238
before this shitty deus ex machina, I was expecting aang to blood-bend the fire-lord, and stop his bending
low and behold in korra, amon blood bends powers away, and spirit anng gives them right back
I don't even know why they needed the turtle-lion in last airbender
LoK described The Island Turtles as the first instance of bending being granted to humans so that they can survive. A co-balance between Spirts and Humans.
Then this got fucked to shit when Wan decided it was a good idea to keep his Fire Bending and free Vaatu
But of course this doesn't matter now because the whole "Balance" bullshit doesn't matter since Korra killed Vaatu and light always needs to trump over Darkness
Someone at Nick is a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts because that's literally point for point the exact same plot.
Lions Turtle were hinted at maybe once or twice for a literal second but no, it was also strange and unexpected for everyone else. Bryke are just really bad at writing endings.
I've heard a lot of noise on /co/ about how comics play it too "safe" with non-white characters and their cultural roots, resulting in blandly inoffensive comics. Have any of you checked out the webcomic "Vibe", then? Young black kid uses Haitian voodoo power-ups to fight evil spirits. Just started it, and I was wondering whether it was up /co/'s alley?
Vibe is great, story just got bananas.
the non-white characters make sense because of the story and I'm pretty sure the author is black, but if he isn't he did a great job handling it.
>>78521119
VIbe's pacing is too fast and it updates too slow. I'm really 'meh' about it
>>78521119
Love the cover art. Feels like weird mythological Ben 10, of African Diaspora Shaman King or something.
Uhhh... That last season really took me for a ride.
Was anyone to blame for the whole mess?
Clay.
The themes expanded upon in the last season were running throughout the earlier ones. It just became blatant when they stopped hinting at it and just put it out there in the last. The reason it was like that is the network saw the last ep of the previous season, Clay taking Orel hunting, and went to them and said to make more like that. When they did just that and made the season more like that episode the network canceled the show saying it wasn't the same show it originally was. Even though it was they themselves that told them to go in that direction.
>>78520943
yep
so basically even the best network ever is still a network and networks are idiots and all executives need to be fired
Why is Nextwave the greatest comic ever made?
Because you haven't read any other comics.
>>78520754
Its basically Shakespeare. Except, ya know, with a lot more punching.
>>78520754
>the greatest comic ever made
But this is not Usagi Yojimbo.
This said, Nextwave's a fantastic cape comic because it has fun with the formula instead of being dead serious.
What went wrong?
Pretty much everything. Gwen herself isn't compelling or strong enough to support the weight of an entire narrative. She was an interesting curiosity in the crossover but now it doesn't work. The stories are trite, the art is bad, and the world which is the most interesting thing about her isn't getting the attention it should be. Her supporting cast is also complete garbage.
>>78520733
A fantastic costume and decent premise aren't enough to hold an ongoing if the writing and art are both of middling quality beyond that. Plus Gwen is the worst part of her own book, and cool world building doesn't matter if all the focus is going to be on a weak character, doubly so when all of her non-comic appearances seem to use a different, more generic but equally uninteresting, personality.
That said there's worse things, even if it is wasted potential. Love the costume though.
>>78520733
Frank Cho isn't the artist
Hey, /co/, how about we sit down and write a little Mad Libs story, together?
First, I need anadjective.
>>78520176
Thick
>>78520208
Now a noun.
Penis!
What does /co/ think of pic related? I thought it was great and loved the Kirby-esque art. Reminded me of the The Humans a bit too.
Does anyone know if it's coming back? I know nothing of "Black Mask Studios."
>>78519709
I remember skimming the first issue, then waiting for the next to come. But it never did. Or was so low key that it never crossed my path.
>>78519709
Black Mask is one of the best publishers around. Founded by Bad Religion's guitarist. They've put out cool stuff like Ballistic, Godkiller: Walk Among Us, and We Can Never Go Home. Honestly, they're one of my favorite publishers.
>>78520073
>Founded by Bad Religion's guitarist
Seriously?
Why, I do believe it's time for obscure Curt Swan comics!
But enough about me, how was your Christmas?
Only one comic for today; I just want to get through that stupid backlog I set myself for no damn reason.
Of course, it doesn't help that none of my torrents are seeding - I've got issues of Real Fact Comics and Adventures of Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis downloading faster than issues of World's Finest Comics!
